Super Bowl XLII

TEN TIMES OUT OF TEN, DEFENSE wins championships. FOr those of you that played football , It all comes down to the D line, and the running game. The giants first drive set the tone running it up the gut. HURTS way more than tossing the ball down the field. ALso young studs tend to beat out creaking knees in game 19. I cant imagine how much a loss like that would hurt for the patriots, OUCH>…

I’m not too much of a football fan, but I usually watch the Superbowl. That last few minutes even had me cheering for the Giants. When Manning scrambled out that pickle and Tyree made the now famous I refuse to give up this ball catch I was clapping. You can’t help, but respect that.

On another note I thought the coverage was pretty weak on the TD play. Whoever the defensive back was he took waaay too long to notice his guy was wide open in the end zone with less than a minute to go on a game losing play in the Superbowl.

How soon everyone forgets this when they think about all those September touchdowns.

Absolutely. Before the game I said I couldn’t root for the Giants, but that play was badass. Eli’s all grown up now.

I can’t believe Eli Manning won the Super Bowl against the 18-0 Patriots by leading a two minute drill for a touchdown.

Holy hannah montana, I can’t fucking believe. Eli, I love you you goofy fuckin pric.

Don’t forget about this 4th quarter Patriots-last chance beauty by my college roomate, Jay Alford. Fuckin’ Brady, dainty little thing.

Someone should start a “Bill Belichick is a homo” thread.

Yeh, little Eli’s all growns up.

The Pats haven’t looked unbeatable since like week 8 though. However I was hoping that they would show up and win convincingly…maybe quiet those crusty old ex-Dolphins that refuse to move on. OTOH I couldn’t be happier that the Giants won this game because no Super Bowl Champion should be able win after playing like shit.

The offensive line and Brady played as if Jessica Simpson came to watch them…really disgusting performance IMO. The Giants D had really stepped up in the last several weeks but for the Pats to play like they did in the GD Super Bowl is just embarrassing.

Congrats G-men!

He was your roomie!? I was so proud of him when he laid the wood on Brady. I figure it sort of makes up for when Lavar was held late in a game in 99 by the Michigan fullback and Brady went to to complete a pass on third and long.

Bauer, that’s friggin’ cool that you were roomates with Alford. I went nuts when he drilled Brady.

You’re onto something there…he looked like he was in just a funk altogether. One of my friends said “he looks like partied all night with Paris or something”

Carl is unpissed.

There was nothing mediocre about Eli Manning in the last five games. Nothing.

It’s true…I mean we all were just waiting for it to happen. The week before they played the Vikings I was making my picks and actually emailed a friend that I was taking the Vikes at NY because Eli was do for a 3 or 4 pick day…sure as shit it happened. I was waiting, hoping he wouldn’t this time - and he didn’t!
