Sugar Per Meal

Whats the most amount of sugar you would eat in a P + C breakfast meal. I am talking about pure refined sugar, not sugar in fruits.

Also, since you want to have a high insulin response, why would it matter how much you have?

For me None I dont have pure refined sugar ever really with exception of fast carbs from Surge Peri workout.

Breakfast is carbs sure a nice whack from oats and fruit.

Same here. only refined sugars I generally consume are in post workout shakes. Other times carbs comes from grains, veges, fruit, rice and sometimes pasta.

Since the muscles are depleted after an 8 hour fast, wouldn’t it be BENEFICIAL to have sugar or other quickly absorbed carbs to slow down muscle destruction?

Before I go to bed I consume about 40 g of time release casein protein, mixed with egg and whey.
It says it’s a 24 hour muscle feeder.
All I need is 8-9 hours.
If you have some casein before bed,and get a huge, healthy breakfast in your system in the morning, there is no way you’re gonna lose any muscle.
Especially if you get enough protein during the day, before you go to bed.
If you get enough protein during the day to meet your bodies protein needs,it’s not gonna just pull amino acids out for no reason.

I think it’s dumb when I see people run around saying they’re gonna lose muscle during their “8hr” fast.

Have a whey protein shake with some yogurt and fruit before breakfast,or in water,1 hour before your meal if you’re worried about losing muscle.

I have some TR protein before bed,and a huge breakfast in the morning,I never lost any muscle from sleeping.
