SubQ .. Tired.. Brain fog

Since starting SubQ … about 3rd week or so, I noticed energy dropped off, brain fog a bit as well. I wasn’t sure if the HCG is what caused it or not, but today pinned IM in the thigh and a few hours later I’m feeling better.

Does subQ work for everyone? Maybe I was doing it to shallow?

Honestly it should. Absorption rate may differ which is,likely unnoticeable. Even if it was noticed, it would level itself out in short order.

I saw on reddit today some people noticed the same thing and read for some it dont work as well.

Could eating grapefruit effect test cyp, armidex or hcg? I also started eating a few of those a week since starting SubQ…

I find this hard to believe. If you’re injecting it sub q, shallow, or IM it’s going to get absorbed. Even if absorption rates differ, after a few weeks you will reach steady state again and any deifference between new and old method should then be moot.

Injectables no, but some orals can be effected. Basically it inhibits some intestinal digestion causing more of the drug to enter the blood stream. Arimadex is definitely one of those drugs that’s affected.

Im not kidding. Some said there bloodwork shown considerably lower levels sub Q… Mine was in the mid 700’s a few days after subq … 1250ish a few days after IM, but when the last bloodwork for IM was done, I may still have had my natural production mixed in.

Maybe it is the grapefruit. I started eating them daily in may as I read it can control hemacrit. I havent ate one since Wednesday.

I’ve gone through the same thing; it’s like when I use 1in in delts I feel fine, blood work is fine. When I switch to glutes, or try SQ, about 3 weeks in I feel off, like it’s not working anymore. I think the difference in absorption rate does matter, however in the long run levels should come to be the same, must take longer than 3 weeks.

I don’t have anything scientific yet to back this up, but I’ve seen in the studies that compared the two, participants were always on IM first for a length of time, then moved over to SQ and checked again at the same time interval. Perhaps if they had checked at say week 3 instead of week 12 levels would be lower? IDK

I was just making an educated guess which doesn’t always play well in real life. I do still think that after a period of time it should even out. I’ve never been a fan of sub q for products designated as IM. So I’ve never tried it myself.

It’d be nice if we could just throw these shots anywhere and have the same response. I’m sure there’s maybe some placebo in there too when changing things up

I’ve been told the esters were developed to go into the body, not necessarily I.M but that was the commonest method until S.C was pushed. The “for IM only label” was to stop people doing it I.V rather than it couldn’t go elsewhere. Not sure all that is true but I have seen test labeled for IM and SC only now and many medical papers recommend SC (it seems a very common method for transmen due to the less hassle and general high acceptance).

That’s what I do now, started with harpoons in the butt, went to SC but had a lot of the lumps form and now alternate between the stomach/love handles, dorsoventral quad and occasionally the glute. So switch up between SC in the stomach and IM elsewhere (I rarely get bumps any more, possibly as not doing the area soo much?)
I can’t tell any difference in where and when I’ve pinned (test e x 3.5 days, sometimes deca 50mg every 7 days).

I believe this totally for when I first started, read posts by people saying they can feel this and that so obviously felt it myself. Then started reading about the half lives, area under curve etc, started doing bloodwork to measure my low estrogen (it wasn’t low) my low test (it wasn’t low) and then all the “symptom’s” I felt when I read I should have disappeared and fell into place with science and life is soo much easier.
(It worked both ways though, I thought my test was high and I felt amazing, did bloods and I’d crashed to very low. Next day felt weak and feeble, took a high test dose and by the evening was back to being superman).
I’m not saying others can’t feel slight difference’s, but for me the placebo effect was very strong.

Subq sucks balls, literally cuts my total t in half.

Had a follow up with doc by phone instead of in person, they suggested I remove the HCG for time being and bumped me up to 150mg a week 75 mg twice a week subq… So today I took no hcg and no arimidex and felt good, better as the day went on.

Same here, started SubQ injections which lead to brain fog so intense it felt like I smoked a massive joint.

Some people claim sub q gave them lower levels, it wasn’t like for like trade compared to IM. I am one of them.

so far, no hcg or arimidex since over a week, sleeping like a rock, almost to well and don’t want to get up, first 2 months on test sleep was mostly bad, but still had the energy levels. So far seems like 150 a week is the ticket, holding right around 180 lbs, was 172-175 wen starting TRT back in beginning of April, highest was 186 and that was from pounding beers for about 2 weeks straight lol, I got that out to 1-2 times a week again. Brain fog for the most part not as bad or almost gone.

So many people having problems with hcg, just fkk it
