SubQ Stinging Pain and Red

I am starting to take Testosterone Cypionate, I am sure that I have injected correctly for SubQ. The injection itself didn’t hurt but while injecting the liquid it was stinging, I thought it would be temporary so I just finished. Not too long after I felt the small lump so decided to massage it, which was more painful. Skip to the next day and the skin is red, raised and painful for about 3+ inches by 1.5 inches. It’s only slightly raised but I can feel it with my finger, it hurts to touch and hurts much more if I press harder. I’m thinking that the oil has some preservative that is reacting or I got quite unlucky with an allergy (I have no known allergies). Thinking of changing brands as this doesn’t sound normal to me, but perhaps it is.

You may have an allergy or intolerance to the carrier oil. That or it has too much BA in it. Tell your doc and see if they can reconstitute you another batch.

Every single person injecting SQ reports this. Some kind of lump, sometimes painful, sometimes red or inflamed. All the time.

Just inject IM

I get the same reaction to insulin, because I’m allergic to insulin and you’re probably allergic to the carrier oil or maybe a reaction to the preservative.
