LOL yeah yeah yeah…I’m not even impressed by my overhead press anymore. I think my best is 340 on the axle and 315x3 on a barbell. I’m just like…meh ok. I’m kind of digging how my farmers have been lately though, I think I can give 300+ per hand a good run for some nice distance.

I’m such a noob to belts. I put a new one on to the tightest hole, and I couldn’t get it off for an hour. What it actually took to get the damn thing off is totally ludacris. I had to put the slack in a VICE, and pull as hard as I could LOL.

Taking this week off, but I like to stay ‘active’. Did a little circuit followed by a 30 minute walk. Circuit looked like this:

Hang clean
65x10

SOHP
65x10

Row
65x10

Clean grip lunges
65x10

Did the circuit about 4 times with like 30 second rest in between each of the 4 circuits.

Are you still around 230 bodyweight?

Yeah, I haven’t weighed myself in a while, but when I weighed 230 morning weight I was loaded up on alot more carbs and sugary stuffz.

I suppose this could be written elsewhere, but I’m going to write it out here anyway.

Next weeks training will be a lighter week, but I’m going to hit up some heavy front squats. Deadlifts in particular will be toned down. The following week will be lighter front squats and heavy deads heavy event training. That will put me at 3 weeks out from contest. Then I’ll do one more cycle of peaking followed by a week off before the contest and stuff. I hope my boss shows me mercy soon, because construction strongman training is one hell of a combination. Puts hair on your chest though, and several other places. That’s pretty cool.

Stefan Solvi Petursson is actually holding a little training clinic the weekend before the competition to us competitors at the gym which is really fucking cool. It’s a little bit of cash money so I won’t be attending that, but I believe (I think) he will be at the competition, which is very cool nevertheless.

Anyway, sore as fuck, bored, will be saving myself for tomorrows workout. Almost one month out.

Yeah I actually looked at that lol. I would like to go to his clinic even though I’m not a competitor; that’s not allowed though I guess. I need more time to work on my overhead regardless. I know a guy who is going to that one though I think to sell his lifting shirts and stuff.

Awesome. What do you think about gaining some weight to compete as a LW 231? I think it’d add some poundage to some lifts if you really diet correctly. Also, it would be so cool to compete with you in the same division some day.

I definitely want to get up to 220 something. That way it would be easy to PL in the 220 class, and I wouldn’t be terribly undersized in the 230 strongman either.

lol yeah Chris, really. You’re not much smaller than me. You may weigh less, but you’re a big guy. Don’t underestimate yourself so much, I think you’d kick ass in 231/105 if you get acclimated to strongman more.

I had to work late today so I just started doing my workout at my workplace. I just stacked up like 8 bases for traffic barrels and lifted them like stones. They cut up my forearms though kind of bad so I’m scurred.

Anyways, I want to die.
