Strong Little Snapper

I get a huge kick out of the fact that my daughter calls this website “Tester-Stone” or “Testeroni.” Reading has never really been her thing.

I love Testeroni with meat sauce and garlic bread.

Why do I have the impression everyone spends Friday afternoons sneaking to the T-Nation site? I had to work. Two weeks before the contract ends and they’re pouring it on harder than ever.

yeah, nice pulling indeed.

awesome on the deads PR Snapper!!

you rock.

Where’s the vid?

A deadlift PR is a big deal you know.

your deads PR inspired me

see, you inspire people, crazy people, but I think that counts too right?

x2

I promise a vid from tomorrow’s squat session. I’m going to attempt another PR.

Yesterday was a whole lotta rehab work. I think I’m making progress, albeit very slow progress.

I can’t believe my meet is 20 days away. If I do well, I should be able to get three USAPL state records in the master’s division (squat, DL, and total). That’s my goal.

That’s something to look forward to! You ready to be drug tested?

Holding those records would be quite an accomplishment! I have no doubt that you can pull it off.

I’d love to see more snapper-video.

With my double-digit bench . . . I’m sure steroids will be suspected!

I actually am the current record holder. So I’m looking to break my own records.

Tune in for PR squat video tomorrow. How’s that for positive thinking?

Thats how you go into squat day.

Of course you are! I’d forgotten that. All the more motivation to do better. And, yes I love that positive thinking.

i’m going to experience powerlifting (including the beloved deadlift) vicariously through you since i can’t do calisthenics and powerlifting and olympic lifting all at once. k???

right back when i first started my log you said i might well make better gains if i did less… i don’t like that. i don’t like that at all. the thing is that i suspect you are right. i just never tried it. didn’t want to try it. but i want to make better gains… so… will try and try it. the best i can do for now.

vid???

Often times, less can be more. I will follow along on your efforts.

Coming right up.

Today’s training was tonight since the kids were off school (again). The gym was PACKED.

Squat
5/75
4/105
3/125
2/140
1/155 wraps
1/170 full gear
2/180
2/190
1/205 PR! And a damn good lift for me.

Sumo DLs (because it was time to get back on the hated horse)
5/135
5/155
3/175
2/2/185 PR but way unimpressive number compared to my conventional pulls. Sumo is just not my thang.

Then did GMs, standing calf raise, and good girls. Because I’m a good girl.

Felt like a million bucks leaving the gym.

congrats on the squat!

Good squatting. It just flew up.

That was very awesome. Full gear or not, that is a shit-ton of weight to hold on your back. You aren’t very far away from x2 bodyweight on these. Which is SO ENORMOUS!!

Great squatting snap, looks like your getting it all dialed in.

Congrats on the PR Snap, you made it look pretty easy.
