Strong Enough to Correct Them

Yeah, if I didn’t feel like a bag of poo yesterday I would have done a true GVT with 10 x 10.

My form feels pretty decent these days and I’m kind of curious how heavy I could go with skwats.

I don’t remember his name but I’ll check when the results are posted on the website.

Only one way to find out.

Yeah, maybe in a few weeks.

Was it this guy?

ddot, you are looking mighty fine. Yes, indeed.

no it was the eastern open in Montreal

name: Hugo Charron

Thanks Snap!

Frenchie, he looks comfortable in his posing that is for sure. I’ve already started working on mine for next year.

I HATE being sick!

No training for 3 days now.

Back at it today. Literally.

A. HS PullOvers
3 working sets @ 10 reps @ 2pps
B. UG Bent Over Rows
3 working sets @ 10 reps @ 175lbs
C. DeadStop DB Rows
4 x 8 x 110lb’rs
D. WG Chins
50 reps/6 sets
E. Machine Pulldowns
3 x 12 x 175
F. Banded Hypers
Crap ton with Avg/Light Band combo

Got the hell out of dodge.

Nice back session
way to be back.

I know I know .

Thanks Kev.

I had a bit of anger I let out at the gym last night if you couldn’t tell.

Focused anger can be awesome for training. Just don’t head-butt the power rack.

Sorry to butt in your thread…as a newbie this one took me completely by surprise this week when i left my last shift completely ‘angered up’ and had an awesome (for me session) blowing right through my previous best in the deadlift.
It’s not something i would want to repeat very often…took me hours to come off the resulting high.

And i was going to say that head butting the power rack may have better than head butting the manager that got me riled !!
(didn’t–but close)

Why are so many old meatheads (and new ones) so angry this week ?

It’s so true Git and Nurse. It’s that little bit of anger adrenaline that pushes you through plateaus. Generally speaking my hoodie goes all the way up, the volume on my iPod increases and I just crank out rep after rep and set after set until I forget why I was angry to begin with.

Last night was a quick session.

A. Low Inc DB Press
10 x 75lb’rs
4 x 8 x 80lb’rs

**I felt weak as shit pressing tonight but seemed to get through it OK

B. Seated HS Inc
2 x 12 x 1.25pps
3 x 8 x 2pps

C1. Machine Flyes
25/20/15/12/8 x whatever weight (pyramid up in wgt)
C2. NG Chins
5 x 6 reps

D. Machine Press
3 x 8/8/8
**drop set each set
**lowered starting weight on each consecutive set, kept rest to 30secs tops

E. Side Lateral Partials
4 x 10 x 30/15
**this is where the first 10 reps are with the heavy weight and only the bottom half of the movement and the second 10 reps are with lighter weight and the top half of the movement. I think Meadows prescribes 1/3,1/3,/13. These will get blood in your delts

Finished with abs (targetting obliques)

One day, when I have some muscle to cut up, I’m going to try training like this.

Its obviously working for you.

That’s funny Joe cause I’m at the point I want to start to push my numbers up again…

Friday night was a quick arm session and I just did some cardio Saturday morning. Headed out of town to visit my parents Saturday and drove back at lunch to train Legs today.

A. Laying HS Curl
**Warm ups and then
3 x 10
Then upped the weight and
3 x 6 + 6 partials

B. Box Squats
10 x Bar
10 x 135
5 x 225
5 x 275
3 x 315
1 x 365
1 x 385
1 x 405

Felt good to get under heavy weight again. Normal squat form didn’t feel that great so went with Box squats today.

C1. Leg Press
20 x 6pps
7 x 7pps
8 x 8pps
C2. Walking Lunges
3 x 20 steps
**This almost made puke

D. Leg Press Drop Set
6 x 8pps
8 x 6pps
15 x 4 pps
62 (failure) x 2pps
**Stance went from High and Wide to Low and Close throughout the drop set

E. SLDL
3 x 8 x 245
**used 25’s and a platform to get a better stretch

F. Extensions
3 x 20 w/ 2 sec pause on each rep/contraction

G. SM Front Squat w/ heels on plate
27 x 135
**No lockout

I’m not training legs again until the 30th so I really pushed it today.

I’m also giving my calves a 3 week break thus no calf work in a while.

Now watching Pats-Cowboys game and hoping for a Pats win. (Sorry DJ)
