Todd I will let you know if i am training legs again on Sunday…looks like i might have to work at the store on Sunday this weekend… I will let you know for sure though.
Keep training and dieting hard! Your off season is right around the corner!
Sounds good Matt.
Did 60min this morning and will be in for weights tonight.
I have such horrible DOMS from Sunday that I nearly buckled over trying to get out of bed this morning. I gave her for 25min on the bike and 25 min on a 6.5 Incline on the treadmill this morning. HR was around 115 for the whole session.
I’m going to need to get up and move around today or I won’t be able to leave work today. LOL.
Still have much more work to do but showing progress.
fatinIC, I started at 207 (March 17) and in this morning I weighed in at 181.8. Coming up on the 30lb mark. Strength went up for the better part of 14 weeks to start and has been fairly stable. I have days where I feel strong and days when I feel weak now. It’s all part of the Grind.
Had a late session yesterday. I really wanted to hit my back hard with a lot of volume. If I can make my legs hurt this bad, I should be able to do the same to my rhomboids, lats, traps and erector spinae.
Unfortunately it sounds like I may have bursitis in my right elbow (most likely from my grip) so I’ve been told to watch how much I am lifting/gripping.
Stretching/Icing/Anti-Inflam/MSM has begun immediately. I can’t really give up the lifting part (which was sort of recommended) so I’ll use straps when needed.
Warmed up with some pull ups/chin ups. I hang for 3-4 seconds, perform the movement, hold contraction for 1-2 seconds, repeat. Sets are between 3-5 reps.
A. HS Pullover - 4 x 12
B. HS Pronated Row - 4 x 12
C. Seated Cable Row - 3 x 12
D. Deadlifts w/ Bands - 225 x 15/3 x 275 x 10 --used straps for the 275
E. Machine Lat Pulldowns - 2 x 12/ Giant drop set
Finished up with some EZ Bar Preacher Curls - 8 sets of 6 w/ 45 sec rest
I’ve also been bookending all sessions recently with ABZ. 4 sets before, 4 sets after.

What the hell?!?!? Time for some PT, no? And quite honestly, when you’r eon carb restriction there’s not a lot of tissue replacement going on. Could it be time for maybe a week or so of properly paritioned carbs so you can heal this up?

I will probably see how it goes this week first. I feel like the finish line is so close I just want to get there.

sorry to hear about the injury. Injuries suck. I’m right there with you. You’ll have to tread the line carefully.
Thanks. No worries about the “injury”.
If you’ve read the whole log, you’ll know that elbow pain is not going to stop me. I’m pretty sure bullets wouldn’t stop me now either (unless they were well placed). I’m a little bit determined these days.
So this is for all the females that may/may not read this log.
I had the pleasure of watching a young lady train last night. I mean she “TRAINED”. She was doing a pretty kick ass complex that I was pretty impressed with.
It looked something like this:
BB Squats --pretty good form
DB Swing – 45lb DB
Burpees
Box Jumps
Hand Stand Pushups --using BB in squat rack to “hang” from
She didn’t take breaks, or they were VERY small breaks.
Meanwhile her BF did some shaky version of Bro DB curls.
Her work ethic was to be admired. I don’t see anyone train that hard and of the one’s I ever have go THAT hard, they’ve generally been females.
Sorry to hear about the elbow pain. I am sure you will not be detoured.
How much longer do you estimate you will cut for? What is your current daily carb intake amounting to?
What is your daily cardio up to? Your looking much leaner in your lastest pics, good work.
What are your bodybuilding plans following your current diet?
Also, the girl you witnessed with the good gym work ethic…totally hot. I have not seen one of these mythical creatures at my gym in along time.

This will be Week 21, so I’m guessing 3-5 weeks left. I have a strong desire to get bigger now but I don’t want to come all this and not see ALL my abs. I’ve been going pretty hard this week so it’s been a good week in terms of ‘fat stripping’.
Cardio is 50min/daily. I did 60min 2x this week already in spite of my legs still hating me from Sunday.
Carbs are ridiculous. 20g on lifting days. 0g on non-lifting. Sounds brutal enough but if you’ve ever gone this low you’ll understand the WORST part is the ‘pissing’. No cabrs, means no glycogen which means very little to carry water to the muscles. Thus I’ve been having a little extra sodium these days.

Next year. That’s the extent of my plan right now. I shouldn’t be making any decisions right now about that. I feel ridiculously small and flat so I feel I am years away. I need to continue to improve my shoulders and (I’ve now decided) my triceps.
Once I start a lean gain, I think I will work with someone to help correct these weaknesses.

Yes. ABSOLUTELY. Given what I’ve been through/going through, probably the first female I’ve “noticed”.
Come 6pm I have this general “miserable” look going on. Oh the joys!
I got in tonight for some Shoulder’s bookended with Calf raises.
Session was:
A. Meadows Delt Destroyers - 5 sets --HOLY CRAP BATMAN!! Crazy way to START a session.
B. DB Laterals - 4 sets – started with Incline but they were bothering my shoulder so switched last 2 sets to standing
C. Seated Bradford Press - 3 sets
D. HS Single Arm Press - 3 sets --Seated very high so shoulder is stretched at bottom
E. 6 ways - 3 sets - yonkey’s log got me wanting to try these as finishers
I was soaked and exhausted leaving the gym tonight. Tomorrow’s check in should be a good one. I’d say 3 more weeks like this one and I’ll be peeled.
