Am I allowed to post beard gains?
Epic beardage is always appropriate and should be required.
You ever gonna braid that beauty?
No @kdjohn mate. Thatās venturing into metrosexual territory
Or badass viking territory?
Thatās what I was thinking too. Maybe weave some chicken bones in it too
Chicken bones are for chickens- do the bones of slaughtered enemies like a real man ![]()

More of Scottish clansman a la Highlander
More along the lines of Christopher Lambertās dad
Feeling like Iām starting to slacken the fuck up this week
Hardly any cardio. I feel empty man. Need to get my fucking finger out and start damaging shit.
Been a tough week with the vax and the house husband duties becoming too overbearing.
Every day is a reset. Every fuxking day man.
50s
50 KB Thrusters (2 x 16kg)
50 KB Swings (24kg)
50 Burpees
Kudos to Big Pwn (@T3hPwnisher ) for alerting me to this bad boy.
Great wee workout. Thrusters were tough as fuck
did a butchered version of this yesterday- definitely a killer
Yeah man it was sick as hell
I did unilateral thrusters w/ a 32lb DB (25/side) and swings w/ a 20kg bell
- canāt imagine what it would feel like rx w/ 2 16kg Dbs
30 Mins on Airdyne
Although HR was relatively low, this was a slog.
Maybe the workout today tired me out or could even be the brief hiatus Iāve taken from the bike.
Either way, now in bed and Iām shattered
To get good at running you need to run. I got down to a 18 min 5k. By then I had lost all the muscle I had previously gained. Endurance running and lifting donāt go together as you mentioned. I used to love running, but now I recommend against it. It has beat up a lot of people. I know a lot of older runners and it has left them in bad shape.
Me 5 years ago when I was on the end of being a skinny fat cardio junkie.
That is moving! I got down to sub 19:30 years back, and felt like I was flying.
I agree, but also disagree. I think prioritizing running for the longterm, at the expense of strength and mobility, leads to injury and skinny fat people. It also does leave people with a limited range of motion and the movement patterns of an āolderā person. But, I think some well planned integration of endurance running can be great. You just gotta know when to scale it back, and how to set it up. Another thing - running (pounding) on city sidewalks should be avoided for longterm health. But, getting in a weekly or biweekly endurance run can really enhance efforts at all around athleticism and balance for most. Still, I agree prioritizing track workouts and speed over endurance runs is better for those of use that want strength and explosive athleticism.
You are correct. My point is running will suck unless you run all the time. I ran all the time.
Thatās the issue with me re pavements/sidewalks
My legs take a beating and recovery becomes a pain in the dick. Track access is also limited around these parts
In saying that, I just love getting a run under the belt.
Man donāt be so hard on yourself, the vax took a toll on your body, itās okay. Plus I see you putting good work here itās not like you werenāt doing shite!
One day Iāll reach it! Ran a bit and got to 21:30 after 1-2 30-40ā run sessions for a few weeks. Running is hard to recover indeed guys.
I think I have good endurance genes lol. But you see thatās why I have a distorted perception of performance and Iām always so hard on myself: Iāve always trained with genetic outliers ahahah
This year I was training in school with an ex-army boxing champion: he has a 1 hour 14 mins 20K run and a 110kgs bench, a 140 kgs squat and will probably improve more since he started lifting weight for real not that long ago. Heās just impossible to follow during runs
