Dude, you are looking fantastic, and you are sounding like someone that has really “got it”. It means so much that you’ve taken this on and run so hard with it.
Regarding the binging: something I found effective was to “pre-eat” before the meal. Specifically some straight protein. A shake works, or just some egg whites or lean meat. This can have the effect of getting a little full before the meal, but, if nothing else, it helps vector the macros a little more positively toward protein, so you’re not just full of junk.
In the sense that bumping the calories up is difficult as carnivore is so satiating. I’m trying to bridge the gap of listening to my body because I don’t see the sense in force feeding now. It doesn’t feel natural.
The reality is though that I’m in the BEST aesthetic condition of my life.
My strategy is to start adding more fats like soured cream and butter to my meals. I can tolerate dairy so it’s not an issue. I’ll see how it pans out this week as I weighted myself and I’m at my lowest ever weight. I’m ‘feasting’ and still losing weight!
I might have to break the avocados out next week at this rate
How are you with cheeses? That’s where I would go after butter and sour cream if I wanted calories. And more eggs of course, haha. Fats are the right call for sure. This is when I go from sirloin to ribeye, or from steaks to ribs, from chicken breasts to thighs and drumsticks. Meat off the bone when possible. Really live up that feast!
I was thinking cheese however I wasn’t fully up to scratch with how it factors into carnivore. Will get some cheddar tomorrow man.
I was eating chicken thighs at the start however they weren’t filling me up as much as red meat. In fact maybe there is something in that! More thighs more calories more gains
If it comes from an animal, it’s fair game. When looking at cheeses, look for ones that only have animal ingredients. If grassfed, even better. Where you are, all of that is mostly a non-issue, but in the states we have a lot of “cheese-like products” that aren’t actually cheese.
Cottage cheese can be pretty baller too, in that regard.
Nailed it! Now is the time to eat the foods that you can’t stop eating. It’s full feast mode. I’m that way with chicken wings: I can eat them by the score and not feel phased.
This is also when I start including pork rinds into my eating. Just more calories. Not sure if they’re big on your part of the world there.
You can make anything in an air fryer. Might not be great, but it can still happen, haha.
Were I to attempt it, I’d take chicken thighs, use an egg wash and cover them with parmesan cheese, then fry them up. If not an egg wish, some sort of cooking fat. I have spray duck fat, but butter would work, or animal allow.
For the cordon bleu, that looks pretty simple. Just air fry chicken thighs with some ham and cheese.
Tiger muscle! Haha. That is fantastic. Surprised you’re still hitting up the shakes in all honesty: they’re one of the first things I drop when I feast, primarily because I have SO much of them during the famine. I’m too exicted to eat again, haha.
I’ll have one after a burpee session tonight and scale them back tomorrow and brings them back into the next famine, which I’m actually looking forward to already
You’re doing it right dude! This is exactly what I meant when I said that the famines get easier as time goes on. Starting off with a famine is definitely rough, because it’s a really drastic change, but once you get the famine-feast-famine cycle going, it times out perfect. I was so FULL from my last feast that my most current famine had me cut one 1 of my very few meals I was having per day. I just didn’t have any hunger signals. And then, after 2 weeks of the famine, I’m ready to eat again!
