Strong and Conditioned (ChongLordUno)

100 % agree with both statements.
Losing fat is easy and also more noticeable in the short term compared to trying to put on muscle.

Got it in one man

Fat loss is just training hard and eating less.

Both of them cultivate the ability to embrace and endure misery

Muscle gain, so many variables come into play

Financial expenditure, mitigating fat gain and the anxiety that come with now having to train even harder

Yup!

The intensity for fat loss training is the intensity that tells the body ā€œthis muscle is important: don’t give it up.ā€

The intensity of training for muscle gain is the intensity that tells the body ā€œWe don’t have enough muscle: make more or we will dieā€

And if the body will only make more muscle to prevent it from dying, you have to train it hard enough that it almost dies from the training.

That is HARD training.

True poetry my man

As an aside, the most profound natty physiques I see on here for example are the guys who break the rules on conventional training and push things to the limit.

These guys also NEVER start threads asking for advice

Funny that

Dropped another lb over night

I think I’m at the stage where 1lb lost has a profound effect

So much good stuff in this thread over the past few days, not the least of which is your progress—great stuff, brother!

You’re kickin’ a$$ and taking names… I love it!

That’s what is cool when you get to this level of lean: you can really see the day to day changes.

Dude: thanks for the shout out! Getting more people on the daily work train is a great thing.

I agree 100. Just put in the work. All this other stuff is overcomplicating it. Either you are going to do it or not.

100 burpees and 100 squats in 7.15

Hey man, just a quick question - are these 100 burpees / 100 squats representative of the ā€œshorter, more intenseā€ burpee routines you’re doing during cutting or do they it include somewhat higher volume than this?

That’s a great question and i appreciate you putting it out there mate

That particular session was a test. I rarely go at that throttle as you can probably tell by the way I was at the end of the workout.

I try to keep the intensity high during a 20 minute session however my volume, by my previous standards is low.

Endurance to me nowadays is going 300+ at a methodical pace.

If I want to increase the intensity while slowing down the execution of a burpee then I’m going to go unbroken. That means I can cram in good volume while keeping intensity high

I’m starting to push the idea that the 6 count should be slowed down by using a pause on every point of contact. Almost similar to the 80/20 approach that runners use. I think that ultimately will will result in bigger dividends.

I hope this helps mate?

Excellent, makes a lot of sense! Will try to apply this principles in my upcoming cutting phase. Thanks mate

Sitting tight at the 146lb mark

Plan for next 2 weeks is to go maintenance mode and allow my body to get used to this weight while at the same time, allowing me to train harder

Went all @T3hPwnisher -ey for this one

Fantastic work! Mixing up the methods is a great way to really just keep the chaos going and keep the body off-balance. That clean you do is SUPER unforgiving as well.

Cheers man. You can beat a reverse curl clean for some forearm hypertrophy

Physique is starting to get crazy now. As @T3hPwnisher has already said, every lb makes a massive difference.

I think I’m going to look freaky at the 140-141lb region

Have hit a wall today. This week even.

2 things.

The calorie deficit has either caught up with me or those 500 unbroken burpees have hit me hard.

Toying with the idea of throwing my transformation pics up. Reason being that I am becoming bored with the limitations that this deficit is placing upon my training

I want to train harder. Particularly in the gym. I am not laying down tissue at this point and it’s making the gym work seem like a job.

I want to drive myself into the ground with training. Not limiting food intake.

I want to grow now.

Fat loss is ticking over time. Now I crave that full throttle, train 3 times a day insanity coupled with more consumption of fuel

I also have to factor in family obligations, diet wise as well. It will eventually become an issue if I continue.

These are the last physique photos I’m posting for the fat loss phase. I think I’ve peaked.
