This is where it gets ‘science vs reality’ for me. Lots of bros in the gym will say that they train this way. Hell back in my 20’s I was one of those bro’s. If this worked we could all spend 15 mins in the gym 3 days a week and look like Mike Mentzer. I tend to look at it this way, if it sounds too good to be true then it probably is. At a cellular level the statement is possible correct but if it was that simple there would be a lot more jacked people walking about.

i see it the other way around - i like gym and i like doing sets, so this info which says i need to get ready for 2 sets max and gtfo is like really sad news, i dont want it to be true, but i will try it because as Wendler wrote “sometimes its not about what you do but about what you dont do”…
i dont see it as an easy, cool thing - doing all out failure set and going home… pumping arms with 10 sets is what i would love to do, if it worked…
Periodization. DoggCrapp has “blast and cruise”. I do VERY well with 1 big set…for about 8 weeks. Then, I need reps. I do great with reps for 12 weeks…then I need a break.
I shall be doing some today. I’ll be doing 2 pump - and dead lifting my sand bag after. Lets see if I can get to 70 in a more dignified manor today.
Edit - nope still undignified. I only managed to double pump my first 2 set of 7. After this I went single. BUT this is still progress. Man I’m hating how much this works.
