Dwarf, you are limited by what you observe around you. If you didn’t know that then your own progress has likely been limited by your own observations. No one even thought you could build arms over 19 inches before Leroy Colbert. Do you think that is because no one before that could?
Seeing or not seeing stretch marks on others has NOTHING to do with what I think my potential for muscle growth is. Would I be so foolish to think that just because every huge dude in the gym was bald, that I’d need to shave my head to be as huge?

What? Who is arguing just to argue now? If you haven’t seen anyone with stretch marks at all, it is highly likely you have not seen many or any big weight lifters. How much progress you even believe you can make is based on what you perceive as possible. How is this new info for you?
It’s not.
As a teen, the last thing I remember seeing (and I can’t recall seeing them on anyone besides Mike Mentzer) on a dozen pros from the 70’s was stretch marks. Boyer Coe, Ed Corney, Greg DeFerro, Robby Robinson, Frank Zane… none of them had stretch marks (at least that I made note of).

Question, are you now the size of any of those guys?
If not, then what does you not seeing stretch marks have to do with what was written?
Magazine photos can be airbrushed, digitally enhanced or manually blurred to hide imperfections.
So, once again, if you NEVER see people like this UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL, I would definitely say that your chances of reaching the same level will be greatly decreased.
I can assure you ALL of those guys had stretch marks whether you could see them in a mag photo or not.
You really do talk out of your ass don’t you.
