Cutler’s numbers are legit. His bench and vertical are from the NFL Combine.
Leinart was not a strong dude. No way he benched 225 27 or 28 times. Don’t know where you heard that (or if you even heard it correctly) but those numbers on him ate inaccurate.

i didnt say vick wasnt fast. vick is super fast. but hes not super strong. what im saying is everything in pro sports is exagerated to give the apperance of super human. Iverson aint 6 foot tall.

no 6’ isnt super human. but every height in the nba is exagerated by about 2-3". all i was trying to prove is that pro sports are full of exagerations to make people people these atheletes are somthing that there not. in this case the NBA boosts the height of every player to make it seem like the average height of the NBA is 2" taller than it really is.

yea vick is fast but thats because hes naturally fast. I know that vick powercleans 225 for reps when hes working out. I play pro ball myself i dont read these made up mags that you guys are reading. yea there are crazy strong QBs but the good ones are good because there good(peyton, brady etc) not becasuse they can squat 500lbs becaseu they cant.
Im just sayin dont buy into the pro sports hype. anything for that matter the news, commercials, advertisements, entertainment in general. they wouldnt make money if the fans thought they were as strong or good as the pros.
I know I was suprised to hear Matt Leinart benched 225 28 times and has a 39 inch vertical if I remember right, may have been 37.
His broad jump was 9’6" and he didn’t run the 40 (cause he’s really slow). Those numbers don’t add up to me. Who would have an elite-level VJ, a very average broad jump, and embarrassingly slow 40? Looks like the VJ is definitely inflated
I dont know I wasnt there but I read this in several places…
"The day’s other superstar ? Leinart ? had a solid showing, completing 35 of 45 passes. Of the 10 incompletions, four were dropped passes. Overall, Leinart had a decent showing, completing every type of pass and showing some good mobility when rolling out of the pocket on throws. He also impressed with a 37-inch vertical leap. Overall, it was a good but not overwhelming performance as Leinart didn’t appear to hurt his draft standing. The wind picked up during the latter half of his attempts, causing a handful of balls to float. "
"3. Tennessee Titans:
Matt Leinart, QB, USC
Stats: Height: 6-5, Weight: 225, Vertical: 37", Long Jump: 9’6"
I know I saw in the paper or somewhere that Leinart had more NFL bench reps than Reggie Bush and being suprised, it looks like he didnt even do it though, must have been some wrong info, or me not remembering right.
I remember seeing that 405 hang clean from the VT QB…it was NICE, really quick without even dropping much to catch it if I remember correctly.
A lot of those pro’s are great despite their training, not because of it. You are dealing with pure breds who could probably excel sports wise regardless of how imperfect their training program was or #s in the weightroom. I never played in the pro’s so am not claiming “I know”, but a teammate who did said many guys focus on their skills and speed training and do not train in the weightroom on average as hard as they might have been required to in college.
