Straight Ahead Training Log

Outstanding pull on that 135lbs Commando… was that rep to your left side or right side? with your left hand closer or your right? I myself tend to be strongest on my right side but with the left hand closer, go figure… I also pull a good 40 lbs heavier on that side as well.

A little trick to add some weight is to tie two 2.5 plates to the bottoms or tops of your feet; then try two fives. I was always able to throw on another 10-20+lbs on the belt after doing this for one or two workouts. Don’t know why it works but it helped me go from 125 to 160 pretty quick… after that nothing worked except for time, patience, and lots of pull ups.

i misunderstood your post about commando pull-ups…i thought that they were simply neutral grip pull-ups. i do these just wider than shoulder width, so i guess i haven’t been doing commandos!
