This movie is by Jackass’ brother. He has a thread in the Performance Photos forum. Mark Bell.

You could always just PM him (GuyNo) or JimMcD. They have a gym, Super Training in Sacramento.

What would we ask them about? Maybe why they got Chairman Bernanke to look stupid when asked about a question concerning detail that he couldn’t possibly know and probably shouldn’t be wasting his time worrying about?

That’s why documentaries like this are, for the most part, garbage.

I don’t know what video you watched, but Bernanke wasn’t in it. He was talking to Rep. Henry Waxman, head of the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform (the one holding hearings for steroid use in professional sports).

My bad. Still, would he necessarily know that or need to?

And also the way they made Arnold look bad when he was talking about “playing within the rules…you can achieve anything…” What rules were in place for bodybuilding? What rules of sport did Arnold break? Again, they mince words to support a case that steroids make the man, rather than just make the man even better.

From my immediate knowledge, I don’t think it’s that big of a deal…and the whole manipulating words thing is somewhat expected with these type of documentaries(silly but whatever). I’d have to see the whole film though before criticizing or praising it.

I’m interested in seeing it. Knowing how much Mark Bell has been promoting the video (and his admitted past use) I kinda doubt that it will be a hard anti-steroid piece. And for the guy who thought Ben Bernanke (the chairman of the federal reserve) was in the video – wow.

I’m glad to hear the crew producing it are T-men. That makes all the difference in my mind.

I expect the public will have most of the misconceptions cleared up by this film. I agree with the Growing Boy and hope this is steroid neutral.

You know what I CAN wait for and wished to not DEAL with…

More ignorant people running around talking about steroids and think they know a lot about them after they watch this movie.

Just like everybody drove an import car after “fast and furious”…

Just like everybody looked up the “300 workout” for abs…

Just like everybody started beat boxing and free style rapping after “8 mile”.

Just like everybody started dancing in groups after “stomp the yard”

The list can go on a mile long.

Whatever popular movie is out that has a real world plot, or in this case, real world knowledge it becomes the talk of the US at least if not the world.

I for one think it’s going to suck to sit and listen to a bunch of ignorant people talk about steroids as if “they know” lol

Maybe it’s just my age that does this, but I can see it now. Everybody I know my age is going to be asking me questions and assuming I use just because I’m muscular. They will talk about this movie and have information so misconstrued that it will just be annoying.

Oh well…I’d like to watch it, can’t wait

They advertised this in FLEX magazine recently…

It would be nice, however, if the movie is really “unbiased,” for it to gain popularity and eventually national appeal, and to actually stimulate a dialog which is not so negatively emotionally charged. To actually start a national conversation in which people might be a little more willing to listen to both sides of the conversation. And, who knows, open up some of aging population to the idea of decriminalization for the purpose of better health and anti-aging drugs.

Your first 4 words sum things up. :s

I could be wrong and only time will tell, but I just see this causing a bunch of people to talk ignorantly about the drugs. Not really anything different than what is going on now, but maybe more people speaking the same things that are spoken now, and people thinking they are knowledgable.

I hope I’m wrong.

Shoot, maybe bodybuilding will become more popular out of this

I hope bodybuilding doesn’t become more popular because of the movie. That would make it a short-lived fad and the sport of bodybuilding might only make a small net-gain in participants.

valentino said he was injecting winstrol in his arms in “The Man Who’s Arms Exploded”. I assume it was winstrol and synthol (both in very large quantities).

the guys is a fucking douche and makes us all look like idiots.

it pains me that every time someone does a steroid documentary he gets another 5 minutes of fame.

as for the movie I am sure they will show both sides which will be good because right now we are so far on the pendulum towards conservative that even an “unbiased” view should help swing things back a bit. I don’t know that I want any more media attention though.

If site injections worked, I’d have a total donkey butt and shoulders like honeydew melons
