*before you read this let it be known that i am in no way advocating for teenage steroid use, nor do i consider myself an expert on the topic.
So i always see posts like “newbie cycle planning” and all the vets always comment that one shouldn’t consider PED’s until they are almost fully developed genetically and hormonally, as well have already reaped the benefits of perfect diet, supplementation, and training.
So my question is, what about all the superstars who started using in the their teens, and turned out fine? Arnold, Illya Illin - other world class bodybuilders, weightlifters, strongmen? Opinions? Just wanted to put this out there.
if I knew back then what I know now… I probably would have started at 15-16…running something like test and high masteron with letro most likely
I don’t think that injectable AAS is really all that harmful if you are keeping a close eye on your blood pressure…
it’s when you get into heavy oral usage, things like clenbuterol that result in cardiac remodeling… GH that causes LVH, diuretics, pain killers etc… where real problems can result.

Note that you may be using the minority to make a generalisation. As eatliftsleep said, genetics and personal variability make a huge difference.
What you should also be looking at is how many people started using steroids as teenagers and screwed things up (lack of knowledge, actual biological issues, take your pick). Then look at the proportions and make your opinion from there.
Otherwise I could say something absurd like falling out of a plane without a parachute is fine just because I’ve read of a couple of cases of people surviving it.

When do you consider bp to be getting into an unsafe range? I know you say yours doesn’t really get affected too much but when would you say enough is enough and discontinue use? Just curious

Just fine? Arnold had heart surgery at 60 something. Also, screwing up your endocrine system so you have to be on TRT is not fine either. From heavy drug abuse, you don’t turn out fine. The point that matters is if one has accepted that or not. I have.

I start to get concerned if I go past 130/85
luckily there are all sorts of medications that you can take if you are predisposed to high blood pressure

I know people running ~1 g of gear a week (which is not a lot) they have blood pressure exceeding 150/90, constant headaches, nose bleeds, and generally look like they are going to die at any minute. Their diet? Sheetz and fast food.
If you’re generally unhealthy and dont care about your health, AAS will magnify that.

Yes but don’t those bp medications come with side effects as well? I feel like the government has just lowered the blood pressure guidelines so they can make more money off of their blood pressure medicines, then again I could be way off on this seeing as i’m just talking out of my ass

not exactly… the doctors I know try to get their patients to make lifestyle adjustments (exercise, diet, etc.) before putting them on drugs.
blood pressure is not something you want to mess with. I consider it to be the primary concern with steroid users
