Hi everyone,
I just wanted to give this a bump in case anyone missed it last week.
We currently have about 400 participants, but can definitely use more!
All of the feedback has been great, and let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks!

What are you guys going to do with this survey in the end?
It depends on how much data we get, but we should be able to get at least a few publications in various journals. One will be basic … just publishing up-to-date information about what people are using and in what amounts. We’d also like to show how much planning and thought typical steroid users put into their cycles and demonstrate that steroid users in general are a savvy group. There are a handful of other write-ups we hope to do, but it all depends on how the data turns out.
Done
Thanks!

nice, sounds good.
Done!
Thanks! And I don’t think I mentioned this, but we’ll likely be collecting data for a few months. I’ll update this thread from time-to-time and let you all know how things are looking.
Can you post us a link or something once the survey is completed? I’m curious to see the results
Yeah, I’ll definitely post the results once we have them. We’ll be collecting data for a few more months, then our statistics guy will take a look at everything and see what is statistically significant enough to use in our final write-ups. I’ll keep this thread updated as we go through the process so everyone can see how things turn out.
Hi all,
Today I was planning on posting a basic update about our findings thus far, but I was told I can’t post any updates until we stop collecting data. (If I post an update on what we’ve found so far it can potentially influence the way people take the survey from this point on.)
Anyhow, we do have almost 900 people that have taken the survey and about 225 steroid users. The data we’ve gotten is great and we’re excited to stop collecting data in a couple months so we can post some of our findings! We’re hoping to have at least 500 steroid users by the end of this.
Thanks to everyone who has helped so far!
-Mike
Glad to help!
Done
Thanks guys!
Really, the T-Nation crew has been a huge help with this survey. Thanks a ton for taking the time to fill this out and providing feedback along the way!
Hi all,
We are getting close to 1,100 surveys taken and over 300 steroid users. Things are looking great, but we can always use more participants. Let me know if you have any feedback!
Thanks all!

By the way, if y’all want to do another related survey, you could try surveying general practitioners and internal medicine practictioners on their knowledge of anabolic steroids.
I had to do a survey study as an undergraduate for a technical writing class, and chose that one. It was small scale: only 26 physicians replied.
But they knew less than Corporal Schulz.
It’s a little bit of a challenge to write the survey so they will feel intelligent and superior while filling it out (necessary if you want a high rate of responses) instead of feeling stupid, while in fact demonstrating how ignorant they are (if ignorant) and setting it in a very unbiased way.
An interesting thing to do, and relevant because of the subthought within your present survey that physicians might be a source of knowledge for anabolic steroid use.[/quote]
Perhaps the best way to administer this survey would be to target 4th year medical students. It’s just about impossible to change the minds of practicing physicians, for many reasons, including having to deal with FDA bureaucracy when it comes to prescribing AAS.
However it would be interesting to see what these students think, and may be a window to see if there will be more progressive minds amongst the ranks of our future physicians.
If you intend to publish these results, you’ll need more than a letter of request to the Dean of Medicine, however.
Done.
DONE, DONE AND DONE
WISH TO SEE THE RESULTS IN THE FUTURE.
Thanks for taking the survey guys!
damn, I failed the 1st question. Knew I shouldn’t have chosen “no”
