He’s not Swiss, he’s American. His great great grandparents were Swiss.

That makes him a Swiss American right?

No, it makes his ancestors Swiss. He’s an American.

I know. I was trying to be a smartass but it really didn’t work.

But back on topic, Big Ben for Prez.

Prez? If you’d listen to WDVE Pittsburgh you’d already know he’s been Secretary of State since '04 ;)[/quote]

Hell, Lynn Swann can’t even get elected governor.

I hear they are going to re-elect the Eagles commentator.

I live in Wisconsin and have no idea what station you are talking about. I just wanted to get the thread back on topic!

Um, Hines Ward for Goodwill Ambassador!

LOL, I thought S.Korea elected him Prime Minister or something?

Anyhow, back on topic. I think the Steelers will beat the Falcons this week. First of all, any team that lives and dies by the run isn’t going to score many points against Pittsburgh. Michael Vick has shown that he is one of the most inconsistent passers in the league, and he turns it over a lot.

And if Tiki Barber can put up 180+ on the ground against Atlanta, then Fast Willie should be good for at least 125 and a pair of TDs. Time will tell, but I feel good about this one.

Yeah, something like that.

I think the Steelers should be able to dominate the Falcons for the obvious reasons you already stated.

I think the blow out of KC will get them rollin’ again.

For the record, Big Ben was born in Lima, Ohio.

This is very interesting when one considers some of the other threads from weeks back when some Europeans were chastising Americans for hyphenating or claiming to be Irish, Italian, etc.

Now, when you’ve got an American celebrity, as opposed to Joe Blow, you claim him as one of your own. BP, I’m not calling you out, because I don’t recall that you were one of the Euros doing this. It just makes me wonder if there may be a double standard for heritage and hyphenating by Americans.

I actually tend to agree witn you DB, the whole nationalistic thing can be kinda wierd. I see it with Matsui and a few other Japanese baseball players big in their country.

back on topic…

who dat say dey gon beat dem saints, who dat, who dat

Well we got chewed out for not making a thread last week. I guess people really just can’t get enough of the boys from steel town. Therefore, I think it is only fair that we bring this thread back to life! It is nice to see we have finally learned how not to fumble the ball every freaking time. Haha there is still time to look respectable.

GO PIKSBURGH STILLERS! WOOOOO!

BTW, so sorry to hear that the vikings got beat by washed up Farve and the Packers… that’s got to hurt.
