Starting TRT, heard a few bad ED stories, someone help me out

The stories about people getting ED after a few months, or even 1-2 years in, are these people not checking bloodwork, etc? ASSUMING I only take testosterone and hover around 1000, is there any reason TRT would cause this or is it always going to be an outside issue that would have happened anyway? I hear HCG helps combat this somewhat so I’m going to add that, but long story short I’d rather stick with my current gym gains before losing my junk function. What’s the consensus?

Why would you hover around 1000ng/dl and why would you use TT as your metric? FT is a better indicator IMO.

Some guys do have libido issues when hormones are too high, too low, T/E2 is off etc. Usually it’s correctable.

I was just using 1000 as a general reference, you get what I’m saying, are you saying that’s too high for trt cruise?

sure, there’s a dozen ways you can get ED or libido issues, imbalanced hormones being one of them. keep an eye on your health and your blood work and you can mitigate just about any issue that comes up.

I’m saying don’t get wrapped around arbitrary numbers and yes that’s also high but if you have high SHBG then it may be what you need. That’s why I like FT better.

Total Test is meaningless.

What is your free test, shbg, e2 dht?

If you have good libido and sexual function now, my advice would be to stay clear. Both of mine have been worse on TRT, and thats with blood work and protocol management on point.
