Starting the Long Road

I have trolled this site a bit, but have not seen any info on the few things I have noticed specifically about me, and what issues im currently facing. Im hoping with your patience, and knowledge you may be able to guide me. So thanks in advance!

Ok, so I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes 2 years ago, BS was 400, tryglicerides off the charts (after 2 months on meds and diet, down to 3,000!) and now after 2 years of diet, and exercise im back to normal levels.

One thing I have noticed over the past year I have been doing crossfit, and not really progressing with regards to building muscle, and recovery was poor. Doc suggested to see if my testosterine levels were low.

I did have low T. (216)

I started on Androgel, saw some minor improvment, increas to 400’s, but slowly back down to 200’s after several months. After reading on this forum, I cut to the chase and just asked for T injections.

Wife injects my buttox with the original perscription of 100mg every 2 weeks. First month noticed increase labido, maybe better recovery. But im was not really expecting much, I know it takes time.

About 2 months in, I decided to do .50 MG each week, I seemed to feel a drop off waiting 2 weeks for the next injection.

Issues:

Labido seems to be down, and I have (and my wife) have noticed that Im not as hard as I used to be. This is concerning.

I have gained some weight, some may be due to muscle, but the “Withings” scale I use is always bouncing from 2-4 lbs lean mass to fat mass.

Im not seeing the results I would have expected after 2 months, Id expected maybe more fat loss. Since im still taking Janumet for my Diabetes, I control my diet pretty well, with the occasional fast food splurge when traveling (maybe once a month)

I plan to go back to the doc mid December for another blood test, to see my t-results. Below are my labs from several months. (None after t-injections)

New labs to be posted next week. Stay tuned.

Shorten this up please. You might get more response.

You didn’t mention the use of an Aromatase inhibitor (AI) to stop the conversion of
test to estradiol. Many docs will tell you that at such small doses of test you don’t need one,
but obviously you do.

Your Estradiol (e2) level is 65.5 with a range of 7.6-42.6, you want to shoot for something between
20-30. Ask your doc for Anastrozole, or Armomasin. If he is resistant, you can buy liquid formulas
online without an RX.

Will be a fairly easy fix. Good Luck.

Thanks! I made an appointment for Friday. Hopefully this high E2 wont negatively affectr me in this short term!?!

How long does it typically take for AI to start taking effect?

Thanks!
