There’s another group called After Your Fahves that is less dogmatic, but they avoid stepping on the SS group’s toes by not doing form checks or other programming - more about bourbon and red meat, but they’re significantly cooler.
Most of the SS dudes I have met in person, or have corresponded with via email, have been way cool. I think the SS Facebook group is for guys that are recently certified, or are wannabes - including Joe.
Recently, another admin, Dave Joskimic or something like that, aksed me to point on the doll where the internet hurt me. so I told him he was projecting and asked if he had a lot of experience with dolls. Joe put up a picture of a ref holding a yellow card. I asked if he was giving it to Dave for implying I had been molested or to me for responding. He told me both.
The bottom line is that the admins are usually dicks, the regular guys are pretty cool - and I include Leah Lutz and Rory Alter in the cool guys crowd. For sure, Pete Troupos and John Petrizzo are good peeps. Michael Wolf was pretty nice, a bit naricissistic, but nice. Brent Carter is ight but with small man syndrome. I’ve met those folks, with the exception of Leah, but I traded several emails with her and she was willing to meet up with me while I was in Santa Cruz, though it never happened.
