Starting 3rd Cycle 3/19 Contest Prep

Great response, thank you! I’ve been generally lean my whole life. Putting ON muscle has taken me years of dedication. Thanks, I’m appreciate the recognition.

  1. Regarding the survey- it was gynoclemastia removal survey. You can get gyno from having high levels of estrogen/ prolactin. Gyno is essentially the development of breast tissue (not pecs), and the surgery removes those glands under your nipples. Once they’re gone, they’re gone. I’d suggest reading up on gyno, how AAS can cause it if you’re unfamiliar with it because it’s very prevalent.

  2. this show- no it dosent “have to be this one”. My neighbor is doing her first show, and I volunteered to do it along side of her for support. I’m best friends with her boyfriend. I could push back but then I’d be a cop out, lol.

  3. clen- the more y’all talk about it, I may give it a shot. I’ve read about it a good bit, but have always been weary because a) I’m already naturally lean. B) it sounds like it can really suck with your heart… however… we’re literally injecting god knows what info our body…

  4. bod pod- yeah the only true form of measurement is going to be a dexa. I’ve done 1 before, but the results I can share with you are not readable because it’s a picture of the computers screen with my phone.

I’m aware of gynecomastia, I’ve been educating myself of AAS use for some time now as i intend to use in the future.

Given that putting muscle on seems to be the struggle for you, that makes me double down on the advice not to do such a hard cut. Instead of copping out on the competition, why not go anyways but just don’t prep for it? You’re really lean naturally anyways, so it sounds like you’d have more time to heal from your surgery, build/rebuild muscle, and cut properly before the comp you’d actually be prepared for?

You’re tall so even though you’re muscular - you’re still at a disadvantage to shorter guys because of width:height ratio. I’m justifying my opinion here, but you really can’t afford to lose much muscle and still place well.

As for clen, some people say it’s good while others will say its bad. Ive tried it once but it didn’t pair well with a medication i take (stim) so i haven’t used it since. I think another option that’s probably a little safer is Albuterol, but I’ve never used it. Still, about the same effect just less risky.
Don’t have much more for advice really, just trying to help you help yourself. 1 injury will put you out for a lot longer than you want it to; best to play it safe IMO.

If you’re not recovered enough from the surgery to go 100% right now, my start AAS’s today would be less effective. So, I’d say that plan is off the table.

IMO, keep your promise. You’re blessed with good genetics for conditioning. Look at this show as a “tune up”. At the start of every year I would search the contests that I wanted to do. I felt that I could really peak for only one per year, but I could do a couple other shows prior to the show I targeted to peak. I competed at my best between 216 and 218lbs. But still looked competitive a little over 220lbs. I did those shows to help settle my nerves. I am of firm belief that anxiety causes the competitor to look flat. I wanted to feel comfortable on stage. Find a show after the July 23rd show and make it your targeted show to peak.

I also would not do a cycle longer than 12 weeks, as I have said before. I would do 8 week cycles, with 4 to 6 weeks off year round, training at 240lbs during the fall and winter. My targeted contest was the only one that had a 12 week cycle.

Another hardening AAS that I used 10 days out of my targeted show was daily injections of 100mg of testosterone suspension in my delts. Even a last injection an hour or so before prejudging. I believed that the test suspension allowed me to get harder with no water retention. I had dropped the testosterone cypionate two weeks out, because it caused a little more water retention.

My hats off to both of you- thanks for the feedback. I’ll take your comments into consideration and reevaluate over the next few weeks. Yeah I honestly don’t care about the show, first show I was really like “wait, I’ve been killing myself for 16 weeks to get on stage for 10 seconds?” I placed 3rd, natural in a class that was 6’2” +.m with 8 competitors. :joy:. I’m more going for support. The AAS is honestly ri to make me follow through, because once I do that first pin, you’re committed at least lol. I agree 100% on the hood friends part. As we get older, we get much wiser. I don’t think I’ll drop the AAS all together because I’ve already spent the money,

Highly considering using this test suspension approach final 10 days of prep and dropping the prop 2 days prior.

I’ve got $170 in loyalty cash that expires in 30 days and I was trying to find a way to burn it. Thanks for the feedback. Keeps me from adding “more gear” just supplement for better product. Will also give me 1 extra vial of prop, so I can up that disease a bit also.

I hope it all works out for you bud. Id give advice on dosage/AS but honestly my knowledge ends at test and PCT; I think you’re making a much smarter choice in timing though. I’ll stick around but others will have much more experience/insight than me.
