I received a MP3 player as a Christmas gift. Even though it has built-in equalizer options, I got tired real fast of switching equalizer modes everytime I change albums.
I am also surprised to see that some of my old 128 kbps have more punch (stronger bass and treble) sound better than my recent 256 kbps ones.
Is there a way to standardize WAVs before MP3 compression? (Content, not volume).
For example, I use the rock equalizer settings most, and I want all my MP3s to have the same signature big bass and treble boost, regardless of the song.
Even though the music industry pays big money to engineer the sound, I am always surprised to see how some big name CDs sound awful without equalizing.
