The public’s conception of what self-defense is and when it applies is vastly different than the legal definitions are and how they are applied and argued in court.

Seriously, most of the times you think it’s self-defense, it’s not. You’ve got to be more or less cornered, with no ability to retreat, and you’ve got to understand use of force continuums - if a guy spits on you, you can’t shoot him. If he’s on top of you trying to stab you, and you wrestle the knife away and boot him in the ribs and he’s on the ground moaning, if you stab him, it’s murder.

Seriously, go to this site and read if you’re really interested in this…

Irish again things are a little different in Texas and the South
Ok I’m starting to think that is the Tat on the other arm.
Tear…have we grown so far apart you no longer understand me…

The other arm has a tattoo that reads “Not In Texas”
Lol, well my friend me and OTHERS keep inviting you to a special fortress of solitude, but you keep ducking.

The other one has a tat of a WWJD
I have a patch that reads Who Would Jesus Shoot WWJS

And you guys think I’m Joking. I’ve been trying to figure out G for about 4 months. Yes I’m that dense

We have two guys 9 days older than dirt, you could figure it out quick if you just started.

I remember those patches.

Cracks me up.

I may have taken it a bit far, but prepare to lose your life if you break into my home. That being said you have to be extremely dumb or high to break into my house. It sits about 400 yard off the road in the country and has 3 pits, a great dane, and golden retriever roaming the yard. Glad I live in MS and not New Jersey.
Well, I’m always glad that I live in New Jersey and not Mississippi. So I guess we agree on that one.

That being said, your idea of a home invasion is a little more cut and dried than what can actually happen. Many things can go on and situations can arise where you might have to show restraint, otherwise you’re going to be in front of a jury. Agreed, you have to be cognizant of where you are. But I would rather be in prison serving 30 with my family safe than them being killed or injured because some liberal assholes have a love fest with criminals and the poor downtrodden souls that commit heinous acts.

Yes I am sure there are no criminals in Mississippi. Do you even have jails?
We have criminals obviously. Are you really pulling from what I said that we have ZERO criminals in MS? Yes, we have running water and indoor plumbing too. OH and we wear shoes, imagine that. Any more dumbfuck comments from you?

Please take a look at the crime statistics for the blue states and liberal run cities and get back to me. Where gun control is always heavy. So, yes those states have a higher concentration of criminals. If I were a criminal, I would go where I am going to be protected by the courts at every turn. General common sense there.
You don’t think that has anything to do with the fact that there’s more people on one city block in Newark than there are in half of Mississippi, and so that’s why there’s more criminals?

C’mon. I stayed away from generalizations about how I bet you’ve had sex with at least one of your dogs, and I could point out that Mississippi has the fattest, least educated people in the country. But I don’t, because that’s not the point. New York is the safest big city in the world, and San Francisco is pretty damn safe also. Both liberal areas. So get off the politics, that’s not what people are talking about.

The best part about that story is that @ 300 lbs you have to be the biggest target to hit lol.

They shouldnt dress you up as an insurgent, they should dress you up as a bear and just let you charge them.

We were doing one maneuver where the CO told us to rush down an alley and jump the unit telling us exactly where they would be moving. We slaughtered them wholesale. Lost 1 insurgent and killed the entire seal team.

The seals were pissed and bitching. Their CO told them to shut the fuck up. He was trying to teach them that it was combat and you have to expect the unexpected and for shit to go wrong. And then the rest of the day we got maimed haha.

Take a look for yourself on the violent crime stats. Again, I am right. Welfare? Never said anything about that. How are you correlating welfare with crime? Red states have just as much welfare going on maybe more as percentages, we just have less people. Again you make accusations. Maybe you should look at the facts before commenting. Thank you for the more dumbfuck comments and straw man.

Lol taken from the link you provided.

The FBI web site recommends against using its data for ranking because these rankings lead to simplistic and/or incomplete analyses that often create misleading perceptions adversely affecting cities and counties, along with their residents.

You started with the assumptions. Do you always get so worked up about little things like this? Might want to get that checked.

Well realistically you would have to define crime. IE what parameters you are going to consider and not consider. As crime covers a vast swath. I just went with the violent crime stats as those are the ones most correlated to endangering lives.

Do you think it is easy to prove you are scared for your life? People still doubt Zimmerman was scared for his life.

130 lbs guy breaks into your house at 2 AM

Two people are home
Person A: 200lbs former Marine
Person B: 120lbs woman

who is scared?

The answer is: A, A & B, B, or neither. You really don’t know because it’s 100% personal and dependant on the situation.

So how exactly do you justify your blanket statement?
I don’t care how big or small you are. If you break into my home, I am going to execute you with extreme prejudice and let my dogs gnaw on your corpse. You don’t fucking break into another man’s home. That is just stupid and asking to be killed. And anyone who lives in a place with extreme gun control laws and has the ability to move is an idiot.

And you don’t have to just fear for your life. You can fear for the life of your spouse or children and be justified in ending them. Your home is where you should be safe and be able to brutally maim and kill anyone trying to endanger that safety.

I’m with you.

That seems to be in flux, historically speaking, but not being armed seems to help tremendously when you want to become one of “them”.
