Maybe because he SUCKS.
Right down there with Larry the Cable Guy.

In that movie, “Comedian”, Chris Rock talks about how Cosby’s new material is so much more edgy and mean. Anyone got a link to that?
Anyone who likes standup should check out a movie called “The Aristocrats.”
I am a HUGE stand up fan.
I can’t believe no one has mentioned David Cross, his shit is fantastic. It is hard to find any of his good stuff on youtube, but his CDs are all great. Anyone who has Netflix should watch his special Bigger and Blackerer on instant queue.
Some of my other favorites have been mentioned-
Patton Oswalt
Louis CK
Nick Swardson
Bo Burnham
Jim Gaffigan
Dane Cook -Before he got so overblown and obnoxious, his Comedy Central Presents from way back when got me started on stand up.
Daniel Tosh -He takes shock value to a new level without sucking.
Frank Caliendo -His old impressions were hilarious before they all got so overdone.

Psssh, he will get some votes, BTW can you put some pants on your avatar.
No Bill Hicks mention, either? Demitri Martin is funny, but I always cringe once they give a good stand-up comic a weekly gig. It’s probably going to knock Swardson down a notch also. Must admit however, Tosh O is pure gold week after week.
And Ralphie May sucks.

Sure. If you do.
lol
I have no idea how I forgot David Cross. I have a few of his shows on my Ipod. He’s hysterical. This chick I hungout with briefly showed me a Bo Burnham special. Didn’t think he was too funny but was blown away by his wittiness combined with rapping ability. He could legitimately ghost write and make a fortune.
Other worthwhile comedians…
Rob Brydon
Bill Bailey
Sean Lock
Jason Manford
Dara O Brian
A fine show by Lee Mack…
And absolutely no-one for perhaps the most famous funny of all time?

Probably by asking why he is mentioned in a thread about the best comics.
I can’t stand Dane Cook anymore either.

Yeah I just like that he is different, he does the whole song comedy thing really well.
Speaking of which has no one mentioned Zach Galifianakis yet? His stand up is great, just painfully dry.
A lot of random thoughts in this post, Russell Brand’s stand up isn’t good. He was spectacular in Forgetting Sarah Marshall though, that was more Jason Segal’s writing that anything.
Jon Lajoie, mostly songs on youtube, but he’s doing standup and caught a show and it was hilarious. He also plays Taco on The League.
Being new to T-Nation I’m not sure how to post youtube videos in a posting…

LOL, pretty much bang-on what I predicted might happen!
