I have gained quite a bit of muscle in the past 6 months and want to cut up before school starts. I obviously don’t want to lose muscle and want a 6 pack. My plan is to take Red Bands, whey, glutamine and mutli-vits. Does anyone know if this is a good stack for my goals? I haven’t been able to find much as to if stacking creatine and Red Bands is a good thing and not a waste for either product…
I really don’t see any reason that you couldn’t use all of them together. I have read that creatine can be used when dieting down to help keep muscle energy up. I have used creatine in the past with HOT-ROX and thought that both worked very well.
I have been using Creatine while cutting and it makes no difference in fat loss whatsoever. At least for me…
So use the creatine I find I am very responsive to it even when I eat alot of red meat at the same time. I found that using a strength training 5x5 protocol, HOT-ROX and creatine I lost weight. The HOT-ROX made a noticeable difference especially in the stomach area, the vascularity increased and I felt like I was getting bigger and leaner at the same time. My weight stayed pretty well the same but the mirror looked better.
So Creatine while cutting is good for hard strength training workouts…bottom line.
I am not sure about spending money on glutamine though.
Search on John Berardi’s site for a glutimine supplement review. He writes that it might not be worth the money for the everyday lifter. So save cash there and buy some lean sirloin steak.

You may also want to check out Dave Barr’s review of glutamine in these articles, Destroying the Dogma, Parts 1 & 2:
There shouldn’t be any problem stacking Red Bands with creatine. But with that being said, you may want to read this article on creatine:
I, too, started a cutting phase on June 1st. I’ve been lifting weights since I was 14 years old, so by now, I’ve gotten to know what my body needs and how long it takes to get results. I’ve been meticulous experimentation and documentation in the past as well. After bulking, it take 59 days (I told you I was meticulous) to get my abs back. This summer, right before I began my cutting phase, I read David Barr’s article about glutamine. The gist of it is: don’t waste your money on it.
So, as another experiment, I abstained from glutamine in my post-workout shakes and did things as I normally would have otherwise.
The result after 58 days: a disaster! Recovery sucked, motivation at a low, and my bodyfat has come off at half the rate. Since coming back to glutamine, I’ve been making up for lost time. All in all, it was worth experimenting but it had the opposite effect. It just solidified glutamine, in my mind, as a quality supplement. Food for thought.

Thanks for the info… still not sure what I’ll be doing hehe. I just don’t want to lose any muscle mass and want to get some abs coming out to see the sunshine.
I stopped using glut for a while now and I feel as if muscle recovery is slower as well, maybe it’s just in my head but I will start taking some again.
Creatine+Cutting = Effectiveness.
