Sprinting & Jumping to Save My Dignity

16/3/12

Ah, you got to love springtime. Everyone starts talking about their new diets for the summer, their new fat burners or their new supplement that will make them lose their bodyfat and cut up for summer. I just love the conversations I hear on the treadmills:

A) No man, 15 reps are for cutting.
B) No, my personal trainer told me that in order to make the muscle rippes, you have to do 20 or more reps.

And then, they see me. Oh how much they hate me right now is unbelievable. A litre of milk in one hand, bag of croissants on the other, and a chocolate on my pocket, as this is my evening snack. I feel threatened walking ing the gym like that…Off to the gym to workout.

A bag of croissants? A chocolate bar? Lol. Dont you greeks make good fetta? What is traditional greek food? Do you eat it? I was brought up on traditional Croatian food, lots of grilled meats, spinach and potato stews, cabbage meat rolls etc etc

Although it is funny how you point out that so many people in the gym have no idea. Seriously if people did things properly 70% of the time, then most people would look decent. But they dont. They spend hours on the treadmill walking, play with there phones while they sit on the bike, and never ever consider lifting anything remotely heavy. I pity the fool.

Just letting you know Im going to start up my new log soon(if I dont injure myself again in the meantime) and your welcome to join along.

I hate feta. I also hate mousakas. I eat meat, but when I am at work, I eat the things I listed. I eat red eat or chicken daily. But since I am also doing GOMAD, I need about 300 grams of meat or chicken to make up for the rest of the protein, so not so much as most people. I will surelly follow your log, I want to see which one of us gets injured first LOL.

16/2/12 Back and Biceps

Pullups
BWx10,x8,x8

Cable Rows
60kgx12x3

Hammer curls
8kgx12x3, yeah I suck

Cable curls

On a side not, I feel a burning sharp pain when I doing pulldowns with the V handle behind my shoulder, exactly where my tendonitis is. This sucks, but I get over it. Nothing too painfull to stop me from doing the exercise, but it’s close. Also, my left shoulder I believe has some kind of arthritis, it feels stiff and cracky all the time. I should get an MRI on it, to see what it is.

Saturday 17/3/12 and Sunday 18/3/12

Saturday, I went to train with the track and field team. There, I learned that on SUnday are some games. So, I said what the hell and I thought to give a go at the long jump. But, since I am out of my mind sometimes, I went out partying in Saturday, went home home at 7:30AM, grabbed my stuff, a coffe, and went to the stadium. The long jump was starting at 12:30, but some miscalculations from the games manager, and we ended up starting at 1:00 PM. So at that point, I was awake for about 28 hours straight, and could tell that my body was not prepared for what was to follow, but I didn’t give a crap. I wanted to win. So, I made a couple of test runs to see from where I was going to start my running, and I was set. Jumps 1,2 and 3 were a horrific 6.09 were I landed on my back (don’t ask me how, I don’t know how the hell I did half a backflip), a 6.20 and a 6.24. At this point, my left tibialis anterior had cramped up really bad, my right SI joint hurt like a motherfucker, and even walking was painfull. At try 4, I did something like 5.80, because I was in pain. My coach told me to stop. I told him that there was no way. He rolled his eyes in dissapoinment LOL. I knew that something was going to go wrong in the last two tries, I could feel it. Try 5, and a 6.01. Fuck. Everything was tight. REALLY tight. My coach told me to tell him what I was on. He thought winstrol and trenbolone. I told him that I didn’t take anything, since I don’t (yet). He didnt believe. Last try, the plan was to just roll the running in the beginning and in the last 10 meters, go for broke and use my strength to just throw me far. When I stepped to jump, I felt a crack in my left quad, in the IT band in the knee and another one a little bit more inside. Great, an injury. The jump was cut short and was a 6.19. If this hadn’t happened I believe I would have taken the fist place with 6.50, but 3rd place is good as well. I am hoping to find some pictures in the net to post here from the games. All in all, it was extremely fun, I found out more things about myself and now, I am sitting in front of my pc, after I took a nap for 4 hours, having pains EVERYWHERE in my lower body. Shit, 96kg is way too much for a long jumper…LOL!

15kgx10

single arm pushdowns
5kgx12x2 with the left, x1 with my right

Side lateral raises
8kgx12,10,8 really light sets, just to do something

All in all, my chest was extremely pumped, my tris not so much, but the job got done. I was in and out of the gym in an hour, that includes warm up and showering.

Don’t be TOO reckless lol

Well, I woke up really ok today, just some pain in my right SI joint, which is acceptable I guess LOL. I guess the sound in my quad was just scar tissue, since today I have no pain or bruising, but it feels a bit funny.

That was my assessment as well. Scar tissue usually generates a cracking sound when it’s broken up.

I am known for being fast and strong, not sane (to paraphrase Vincent Dizenzo, I believe)

20/3/12

I purchased 30 pills of Levodopa today. Will try them before my workout today, to see how much they will help with my sleep, my soreness the next day and energy levels. Hopefully, they will work well.

20/3/12 Another insanity

Today I worked out with a friend of mine, who is totally out of his fucking mind when it comes to legs. So, we did:

Squats
barx20
40kgx15
60kgx12
80kgx12
100kgx12x4, No lockout, sucked more than hell. No gagging this time, but pretty damn close

Lunges
18kg per hand x16x3, oh my God, the pain! These made me gag. Totally brutal. We focused on the stretching, so these sucked.

Leg press, high and wide
About 200kgx12x3, ok so by this time, my legs were like jello, I could not walk, and I just wanted to finish this workout.

Seated leg curls
65kgx12x3
75kgx12 20 partials, oh yeah, these finished us. We were not able to walk properly. I fell off the stairs on my way down to the reception of the gym to drink some water, because my legs couldn’t handle my weight anymore.

Also, I took 200mg of Levodopa and 50mg of Benserazide Hydrochloride 45 mins before the workout and I have to say that it made quite a difference. 20 minutes after I took the pill, I was motivated to do anything and everything. Also, right now i feel totally rested for some reason, but with a slight headache behind my eyes, should be expected that. But, I loved it. Will keep using it in the same fashion just to see what will happen.

Was thinking this the other day. Here in Greece, to get 1 mlk of Test Enalthate, you need 2,24 euros. And you can get it from almost all pharmacies. Nolvadex too. Arimidex too. So, you can do a relly decent test only cycle legally. So, if you inject 500mg of test per week, that is 4,48 euros per week. Multiply it by 8 weeks (a medium amount of time), and you need 35.84 euros. Another 10 euros for nolvadex and for a total of 50 euros, you have probably put a solid 6-7 pounds of muscle to your frame. Now, a fucking bottle of protein which weights about 2 kg’s has 60 euro. WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON?

You going to roids bro?

I have learned quite a bit on them in the last couple of months, and I am seeing tremendous progress without them, in the point where if I competed last year in the junior national category, I would end up second or even first, so I am considering using them. I believe after the summer, just to see where I can get without them until then.

You sure do change your mind a lot.
Is powerlifting next haha?

That sure is expensive for protein. I thought it was expensive in Denmark. You might try buying some online. I recently purchased some for less than 10?/kg.

21/3/12 Back and biceps

Upper back rows
4 warm up sets, then 4 sets of 12

V grip Lat pulldowns
2 warm up sets and then
50kgx12x2
55kgx12

Cable seated rows
40kgx12x2
45kgx12

DB rows
32kgx12x3, did not really like them

Cable bicep curls
17,5kgx12x2
15kgx12

Cable single arm scott curls
2,5kgx12x3

Rear delts seated
8kgx12-15x4

DONE. Got some pictures of me, but cannot get them to my pc. Will probably tomorrow.

I don’t use protein powders nor creatine. I believe they are a reallly bad way to spend your money. I don’t believe in supplements. You are inside my mind my friend. I started this amss phase to be better at powerlifting, but I just love bodybuilding workouts, so for the time being, I am trianing like a bodybuilder. The extra mass wouldn’t hurt if I ever decided to go back to powerlifting either.
