Friday - Squats and Deads:
I was supposed to squat first, but there was a dude in the rack doing chinups and he wasn’t interested in moving. Yes, I even asked. Yes, we have three other places you can chin.
Deadlifts, in 46 suit:
2x5x135, 3x225, 5x1x250 (straps up, belt tight). I was able to get down to the bar with everything cinched up pretty well. The suit has definitely loosed up. I get my left hand on the bar, suck in more air, pull my right hand down, tuck my shoulders together, and rip it.
I definitely feel like my upper back is a weak area with DLs. After last Wednesday, it was the sorest part of my body.
Squats - no wraps, suit 46, straps up, belt cinched. Six sets of three reps, fast, at 185. I took video of most of these (as well as the DLs) and while they were all a little bit high/borderline, I was pleased because after all, I only had 185 on the bar. I then did two sets of three with 185 wearing the coach’s hand-me-down shoes and the new Centurion. The shoes felt pretty good - I liked the arches. The Centurion rode up my thighs a good deal, so I definitely want to shorten the straps.
GHRs - 5x5
Hanging leg lifts - 3x10
Saturday - bench:
5x95, 2x3x135 full ROM
3x4x185, four board (a/k/a yoga block strapped to chest)
These felt really good, considering I didn’t have chalk for my hands and the bar was a bit slippy, and I had to unrack everything myself.
45 degree pullups - 30, 2x10
20 minutes moderate on the arc trainer
Sunday - cardio:
12 minutes farmer walks with 45 lb plates
6x10 45 lb plate swings
20 minutes moderate bike
