Hey!
I know this isnt a bb related question but since Spike boosts my workouts i thought it would help my studying, exams next week so this week there is going to be lack of sleep!
I wonder: is the Caffeine-Free Spike as good as the one with caffeine?
Tried both the Spike Shooter 250ml and the “16 tablets” but i only got 3 left of em!
If my supplier only has the Caffeine-Free Spike should i go for that and stack with caffeine pills or go for just caffeine pills?
Whats the difference besides the caffeine?
BTW: does Spike contain synephrine!
Sorry for my spelling im kinda tired.
Happy growing!
I personally prefer Spike Shooters for studying. The caffeine definitely gives me the extra boost I need to study for long periods of time. If you only have access to Caffeine-Free Spike, I would imagine adding a comparable amount of caffeine through another source (i.e. coffee, caffeine pills etc) would have a similar effect.
I am not sure how much caffeine the original Spike (yellow tablets) has in it though. I don’t think Biotest makes that information public, but you could try asking someone from customer service.
Caffeine-Free Spike doesn’t do jack for me. Regular Spike or the Spike Shooters are pretty awesome though in that they deliver what they promise (i.e: stimulants). Anyway, you can take Caffeine-Free Spike with coffee or soda and it will supposedly have the same effect as the yellow pills. The product thread answers loads of these questions.
Don’t forget to take some good quality fish oil to feed the brains.
I don’t understand how taking caffeine with Caffeine-Free Spike is supposed to allow you to ‘feel’ the Caffeine-Free Spike working; you’d just feel the caffeine working and not be able to pinpoint the subtle effects of the Caffeine-Free Spike at play.
It’s a stimulant masking the effects of a non-stimulant. What’s the point?
If you’re doing that, I would suggest taking it during the test as well. I think it’s called state-dependent learning, but basically you will recall/perform better when you are in as similar a situation as when you learned the stuff.
I’ve used the yellow Spike tabs for studying, and days that I’ve been tired from long nights of studying. I thought they worked really well for this. A Spike Shooter for studying would be overkill for me (i.e. wouldn’t be able to concentrate).

I stayed up 2 and a half days straight for finals and on the last night I used Spike that I bought at 7-11, it kept me up but I couldn’t focus.[/quote]
Hmm…maybe it’s because you hadn’t slept in two and half days.

I disagree. Try taking a straight caffeine pill vs. the original Spike and you will clearly see a difference. I don’t think the caffeine masks the effect of Spike, rather it enhances it. It’s different for everyone though.

Has anyone had one serving of Spike Pills and a Shooter? How wired are you? TOO WIRED!?!
I tried a caffeine-free Spike tab, and a Shooter. . . it was pretty damn good! But I was dragging ass like mad that day.

I don’t think I could tolerate a whole can of Spike Shooter and a Caffeine-Free Spike tab at the same time. Maybe half a can of Spike Shooter and a tab at most.
I just got done with my finals last week. I used Spike a few times for studying, which had some good effect.
However, I think that Power Drive and Z-12 would be better than Spike. I was well rested and also the Power Drive seemed to help me focus, that could have also been from the good night sleep.

Everybody’s reaction to stimulants are different, for sure. I’ve only done that once, and like I mentioned I was dragging ass in the morning getting ready for work. It must have been near the time TC’s “A Stack For Every Occasion” article was out. Figured I’d give it a shot, it worked!

Hmmm. . . for some weird reason I never even thought about ever using Power Drive for studying. It probably worked very well, because when I would take it before a workout I just felt like I was in the zone.
I down a scoop of Power Drive before every major exam. It might be mental, but I’ve definitely noticed increase focus and concentration. I love the stuff.
