Spike Experiences

I’ve never tried Spike (tablets), until now. Gotta say I love the effects.

I know TC states in his article that there isn’t any down regulation, but I was wondering if any of you guys who’ve used Spike for prolonged periods experience a decreased effect, or needed to up the dosage to get effects.

I’ve only used it a couple of times, but with school only getting tougher and extracurriculars piling up, I was planning on popping one of these bad boys as needed (probably 1-2 everyday)

I prefer to not use any stimulant daily, but I have used Spike tablets for up to 10 days straight once when I was managing several major projects and didn’t notice any decrease in effect.

ChrisKing,

Nice to hear. Everyday was used a little loose. I’ll probably stick to it on weekdays because I rarely get over 6 hours of sleep.

I’ve noticed a slight decrease when taking one tab. This morning I took one and it didn’t stop me from taking a powernap. Before I found one tab puts me in the zone. I think I’m just adjusting to the product though.

Still one hell of a product and I’m glad I decided to give it a go.

Hmm. Tim said there was no down regulation and that in fact, it should work better with use.

I only mention I’d like to give Spike a frequent go and thought it wouldn’t be a problem.

It’s widely accepted that most people tend to desensitize to caffeine with prolonged use, so it’s only natural that the body would “adapt” to this aspect of Spike.

With this taken into account, Spike still works well for me with repeated use.

whenever im really dragging i crack open a can of Spike and it just gets me going…it doesnt make me insane or feel like my heart is gonna come through my chest like some shitty stimulants but i just dont get tired, its awesome…so all in all its a great product as long as its not over used, like i said, when i need a pick me up or i know im in for a long ass day, than i get it…

IronWarrior

IronWarrior,

No doubt it works. The can gives hits me like a truck and gives me huge amounts of energy…in fact, so much that I wouldn’t use it for studying since I can’t sit still without feeling like I need to go dominate something physically every 2 seconds.

The pills are much cleaner type of energy. It seems to improve memory recall but this could possibly be due to placebo as well.

If I understand it correctly, caffeine is some type of catalyst that speeds up or enhances the effect of thiamine disulfide. As ChrisKing said, its more than likely that, after a while, we would get “adapted” to the caffeine, and the buzz would eventually be non existent. This isn’t a huge deal as long as the thiamine doesn’t get down regulated. I personally don’t know the mechanism behind the metabolism of the thiamine precursor though.

Can’t go wrong with taking a Spike tab 1/2 hour before working out.
When the work day drags on, a Spike tab opens the door to a great workout!
