SPIDEY: Let's Get You Shredded

Today is lower carb day, Legs (took some tips out of Bauber’s routine, went higher rep OMGRIPHammies), AND cardio. Is horrible so far lol.

lol

hey Spidey. Looking good!

Looking thicker bro. And it will take some getting used to, but it should help!

Spidey, good job, and yea, cardio sucks on luck day. The first 10 minutes or so is usually just discomfort and wondering why your lower body feels numb and crappy at the same time.

Have you taken/been tracking measurements? I’d be interested in hearing them at your current weight and then maybe re-evaluating them at your “competition” weight. If it will be a mind-fuck to do so, no worries, I understand completely.

Looking swole bro.

Would like to see what your average day of food is with the cut?

Hmm, I’ll do some measurements next update day, how’s that? lol

I know the beginning of this, waist was in the 32" range, but I was like 188-192 in the beginning, and ended at at 208, so figuring my waist probably went up 2-3" in all that. lol. Arms were like 15.5"? lol. Legs around 23-24" I believe. nothing great. But yeah I’ll take some measurements Saturday for ya.

I may not do it consistently, only every 3-4 weeks, just to avoid the mind fuck lol

Hmm, well it depends on whether its a high or low carb day, and whether it’s a lifting in cardio day. But I’ll try to break it down as best I can.

Meal One: Coffee+Whey (+VCO if lower carb/ high fat day)

Meal 2: Eggs + Meat + veggies

Periworkout Nutrition (if lifting):

45mins Pre-WO: Pop-tarts + PB (1 or 2 pop-tarts depending on higher or lower carb day)

During: Gatorade (amount depends on higher or lower carb day)

PWO: Whey Protein

Meal 3: Meat, Rice/Potatoes, veggies (+sweet tea if higher carb day)

Meal 4: Meat, veggies (+rice/potatoes if higher carb day).

So yeah, that’s roughly how it goes. Sorry if it’s difficult to read.

And thank you everyone for your kind words and support. It genuinely helps me stay motivated and is really going to help when stuff gets harder. I appreciate ya’ll caring about what I’m even doing, so thank you.

Yea that’s fine boss, no problem! And as I said, I understand on my current cut how shrinking really pisses you off. Sounds like you’ve got some well proportioned bodyparts in comparison to one another though, and balance is always good in competition (and life).

Again, you don’t need to, I was just curious. Do whatever is best for you and enjoy your prep. After all, the most important thing is the appearance in the mirror (for competition-sake) and that you are satisfied with your accomplishment(s).

I’ll be following along :D.

Good stuff Spidey!!!

32 in waist I hate you. With your height and a waist that size. Good illusion then. And at completion probably 30-31.

lol yeah, like I said, that’s when I started this, so it’s probably a bit wider now. But last year when I cut to the 170’s waist was 31" when I was at my leanest. But my hips are kind of large, so it’s kind of strange looking.

In theory, because most of my fat is on my waist, like you said, the illusion will make me look MUCH better when lean, but we will see. lol

On a side note, I SWEAR that the sprints are building my calves a bit. I mean, my calves were so small that any growth is still pathetic, but still, I think sprints plus hitting my calves 3x a week is actually getting them to grow some.

Awesome to hear about the calves! They are a pain in the arse for me also. I really hate how bound they are by genetics. Had a friend in college who had upper legs as big as my arms, and calves as big as my thighs. Slight exaggeration, but quite literally, pro bodybuilder-sized calves… never worked them and was completely scrawny otherwise.

I thought it amuzing that in some aesthetic calculators (which may be useful when considering physique, I don’t know) they list the waist at say 32" and the hips at 40". I guess it depends on where you take the “hip” measurement, but an 8" increase is pretty drastic from my perspective.

My calves have grown a ton since gaining 30lbs :stuck_out_tongue:

When did you gain 30lbs? Was this over a long period of time, or like the past 6 months / year?

About April ish. Now down jsut 20 since I started recomping in June.

Anyways this is spideys thread

Updates. Weighing 200 on the dot today.

Measurements, for Quasi

Waist: 34" (like I said, was 32ish in the beginning of this, so decent for a 20~ lb gain)

Arms: 15.75" (Up .25 an inch, cool)

Quads: 24.5" (welp these grew lol)

I know waist gets much smaller when lean, so should look a lot better later in this prep.
