SPIDEY: Let's Get You Shredded

I agree guys,It’s kinda crazy that those last 10 seconds seem like a lifetime.

Is it possible to “sprint” for 30 seconds???

Well as close as you can try too, that’s what I did. Basically, attempting to go as hard as possible for 30 seconds.

I had to do that awkward trying not to look at the clock to see it slowly tick, but to still keep an eye on it to some degree so I don’t prolong the agony longer then needed lol

Have you been taking measurements?

[quote]chobbs wrote:

No I haven’t actually. I was at school, mostly just arms and waist though. Think arms were ike 15.5" (lolololololol), and waist always in the 32" realm.

I wish my waist was 32 :frowning:

I’m quite small jointed. Sadly I hold my fat in that gross ‘love handle’ area, but at 6’2", when I was running XC, waist got measured for Junior year prom at 29.5" lol. I was only like 140 lbs then, so will never have that again, but still, I’m naturally quite dainty lol.

I saw you’re measurements, your waist doesn’t look 36", so who care, amirite? lol

What is crazier is the muscles that get sore. There were times I sprinted that I got sore in areas I did not think possible.

Appreciate the encouragement brother

I got crazy DOMS in my abs the first time I ever went to the track and did sprints.

Glutes and inner quads for me. And even my ‘hips’ were burning on the bike. Was horrible lol

How are you liking all ham work before quads?

I like it a lot. Makes use a weight that will stimulate my quads, and not something I’m just going to muscle up. And I just feel more ready for my workout with my hams pumped in the beginning lol

5-22-13

Pull Power

Chins: was later in the day after more meals, so I probably weighed a bit more. So not as much added weight and such
BWx10
+15x7
+25x5
+40x3

T-Bar Rows: Good
180x3x6

Snatch Grip Rack Pulls: Snatch grip just works my back a bit more
305x6
336x4
365x2

Face Pulls
3x8

Reverse Curls w/ Fat Grips: Ohh lawd the pump

Workout was definitely meh. Usually lift around 4pm, lifted at 9pm tonight. So was a bit tired, and had a carb heavy meal already. I hardly every workout with pre-WO carbs, and as usual it just made me feel bloofy and less focused, Tis’ all good though.

Weight is regulating a bit now, dropped a bit of the water lol

That looks impressive man. Not sure if you mentioned it anywhere, but where does the bar start?

EDIT: nvm, found you start the bar at the knee

Workout was solid. Just felt good, pump was good. This is probably my favorite workout of the week, though initially it was my least favorite. lol

Pictures tomorrow, so legs won’t be pumped and I won’t look stupid lol

What level are you at on the 10 second sprints? I tried these the other day and LOVED them, though I added a li’l twist and had to find the right resistance. Set the timer for 10 minutes, started at level 5 with rpm’s above 80 then at 1:50,3:50,5:50,etc… Blew it out. I was literally out peddling the resistance at 5, so kept adding and wound up at level 8 for the last 3 rounds. Bike I used goes up to 20 I think. Probably gonna bump it to 10 next time. The pump in my quads was crazy, and it actually made my knees feel good.

Great series of threads lately.

Did 4x30 sec sprint 2min30 slower and 2x20s sprint 1min40 slower. Ouch. But man it jacks your brain up. Fasted

Fasted 5 hrs till my leg workout and crushed it. Lol

Um depends on the bike. I was using like 12-15 on the sprints, so that I didn’t ‘out peddle’ the bike like you said. Then I lower it to around 10 for the coasting periods. I think for the 10 second sprints, RPM during the coast were like 60, and then during the sprint would try like hell to keep it above 150 lol. First 2 I was successful, but not the next 3 lol

The levels seem to vary depending on the bikes at my gym though
