Speaking in Tongues

Sometimes the aliens speak in tongues right before they probe my anus.

@pookie
you cannot compare organized religion to children’s phantasies. That makes no sense.
Of course they do find rationalizations for instance why he (santa) manages to climb down that chimney, but a minute later it’s forgotten or the neigbour’s kid just proclaims, that his elf does the actual work.
An organized religion like the abrahemic ones have dogmas about the stupidest shit, stuff that can even hurt them today, like that Mary is still a Virgin -basta.
A adult leaving childhood behind traditionally ditches such a world because he now has to explore the real idiocies of the grown ups.

Yes, of course there are connections. For instance, you could say that praying is a childish relict of a psychological hysterical state nearly everybody experienced when he was literally begging on his knees to his parents for toys, icecream or whatever.
But that’s not the point here.

@sloth

And what consp. theory would that be if you’re just parroting what I said?
(“I don’t think 9/11 was orchestrated by Bush & Cheney!” “Right you little whackjob, how about scientific evidence, WTC was attacked by Terrorists!”)
?
Yes, the bible says it.
However, it’s bs.

I don’t think the mind is capable of begging by proxy.
PLEASE SAVE JOHNNY! er , I mean… PLEASE TELL GOD TO SAVE JOHNNY. oh, and make it quick, god might be busy summoning packs of female attack bears on children…

Isn’t it strange how these miraculous things stopped happening about the same time we developed the the capacity to film and record events?

“That’s the official story.” I knew it! You’re a conspiracy theorist. No matter our actual doctrines, the real story is the secretive instruction in the Saint-Gods and the Mary Goddess! Catholicism is Santeria in disquise!

Next time do us both a favor and don’t argue the theological merits of Catholic practices if you’re basically going to fall back to, “well, Christianity/The Bible is b.s. anyways.”

And, of what relevance is your opinion (something about the mind being incapable of begging by proxy) to the practice of praying for others within Christianity? “It’s all bs. However, the proper theological conclusion, despite what scipture and tradition shows, is that Christians shouldn’t pray for others or ask others to pray for themselves.”

Pick an approach. Either stick with “it’s all bs,” so we don’t waste time, or–for the sake of an argument over proper Christian practices–accept the bible and tradition as your references when making a claim that specific christian practices are out of bounds.

Now, I have some biology to study.
