I’m looking to get some work done in greek…

Tom Berg there did the tattoo work for Red Dragon and the TV show Prison Break.

If you happen to be in the OC area, check out Sid’s Tattoo in Santa Ana.

Care to post it?

no real design yet, just something i worked out with another forum member (Varquinar)…

2 deltas (greek letters for my initials) inside of a spartan shield that is lit aflame with the inscription “Molon Labe” around it.

Will be the center piece of some more work to go between my shoulder blades.

Thanks for the help guys.

Hey Xen, check out Zulu of Zulu Tattoo. He is an amazing fine artist as well as tattoo artist and does beautiful work. His website is www.zulutattoo.com.

if your anywhere near temecula(which most people are not) soul expression tatoo has always been my choice. i have 40+ hours done by a good friend of mine, Fabian Izzy. you can google his shop and see some of my work on their site. i have to drive about an hour to get there, bit it’s well worth it.

oh, i forgot to mention, the owner dan is one of two shops in cali to use the old school island tapping style tatoo.

i’m not “close” to temecula, but i’m not exactly far either (california ‘far’, everything is 30min-1hr away depending on traffic)… I actually have some friends out there so I’ll check them out as soon as i get out that way…

“Molon Labe,” very nice. Funnily enough there’s a coffee shop in New York that has that on its cups. Except in that case it means “Come and get it!” haha =D
Varq won’t steer you wrong, but if you want to add anything in Ancient Greek, from what I understand Nephorn and I can also help you out.
Good luck with the tattoo; it sounds great.

good eye rock, thats actually my chick. i never even realized she was there. i guess if she was a chip i’d have seen her.

In San Diego, Avalon Tattoo is the only place worth going. Steve Mast is a solid guy there, with a really nice style. Quality work and a really smart, cool guy to boot.

I’ll also offer my help for Ancient Greek. I’ve got a few fonts depending on what look you’re going for and have experience with the language; the diacritical marks (the accents above certain letters) are important for authenticity. I can export the images as an Adobe Illustrator file, an .eps file, or a JPEG.

actually if you guys can help a little i was hoping to get 2 phrases on the back of my arms…

1 i’m pretty sure of the other i’ve yet to decide on fully

  1. left arm: deus ex machina (need that in greek)

  2. right arm: I’m thinking “Strength and honor” but that almost seems cliche… I’m considering a quote of xenophon… or perhaps hunc et caveto ( a latin phrase but obviously I’d like it in greek) it means “beware this man” of course maybe that can go on the shield as well.

as you can see i’m pretty undecided. Only thing i have really worked out is the shield, deltas, flames, and molon labe idea.

:-p

go ahead and throw some fonts and stuff at me.

oh and fuck that coffee shop hahaha
