Hope you enjoyed your holiday. Sometimes a forced break is good. Nice work in here. With a bench like that, I predict you will be getting heavier on your military presses soon.
Good for you for being so successful going low carb. Aiming for 30 g per day, plus veggie carbs? That’s hard to do!
It is hard to eat so low carb! Luckily, my husband and sister are in it with me so we try to come up with ideas together. We basically live off bacon, steak, cream, eggs, and vegetables. Do you follow any particular food program?
Hi Sony! About diet, I’m not as precise as I should be. I track protein and total cals, but usually let the carbs and fats fall where they may. I know! I could probably do better with body comp if I’d pay more attention to macros. Lean protein and vegetables are the biggest part of my diet, and I love nuts, peanut butter, and salmon (and chocolate chips, I’m sorry to admit!). Most of my fats come from those sources and EVOO.
I know not everyone counts veggie carbs so it can be hard to compare, but I’m frequently eating closer to 80 grams of total carbs per day, with maybe 20 grams coming from veggie sources. Right now I’m cutting just a bit, so I’m trying to keep refeeds to every two weeks. I’ve never tried an Atkins or Ketogenic type of thing, but I’ve also only done one really successful cut since I started lifting!!! I think at this point, I’d rather just try to maintain a fairly lean state, and not do all the bulking and cutting because it’s sooo hard for me to diet down.
