It hurts that I’m not welcome in your gym.

You don’t wear them

Is that a fact?

Wait… Does that mean I am welcome at your gym sans Birkenstocks?

Nice

My Lady would laugh…

But him

Pretty sure that’s everyone under the age of 30.

Maybe the wrong thread if intent isn’t discussing AI in general, but the “takeover” is happening faster than most realize I think.

Boston Dynamic is working with Hyundai to release an AI powered robot on their production line within a year. It won’t be without bugs and hurdles initially but the gap is closing very quickly on task and job types people feel are immune. Agentic AI is a completely different animal than the original data processing models.

Maybe hit him with a sincere apology, explain that while you’d like to print the AI rendered photo, you also can make room and practice some patience waiting for him with his other endeavors. Let him know you understand the frustrations towards AI and how they relate to his job, and in some sense how he relates to you as his son.

End with at least 5 seconds hug?

Forgive my lovey dovey unsolicited advice.

Yes…

I’m telling you guys, birks are hot girl-wear now. For maybe three years now they’ve been showing up in my office on the feet of girls under 25. With their white crew socks. It’s been at least five since one of my sons’ girlfriends (city girl, Boston) came in wearing them.

Birkenstock’s customer demographic is shifting from its traditional base (hippies, healthcare workers) to a younger, fashion-conscious audience, particularly Gen Z and Millennials, drawn by casual comfort trends, celebrity influence, high-fashion collaborations (like Dior, Manolo Blahnik), and alignment with values like sustainability, making them an aspirational “luxury” comfort brand. While still popular with older groups, the brand successfully expanded to younger consumers seeking authenticity and style without sacrificing quality, even creating production capacity issues due to surging demand.

It’s not unsolicited. He asked. Lol. That’s why he will get no apology from me. :joy:

Are you sure? I also eat granola. And no matter how hard I try to stand up straight, I still lean a little to the left…
