I don’t think X is the only ‘problem’. Sometimes you get really weird advice here by guys with “harddisk full of pdf’s” or then just “I know more than your wiki knowledge”, and makes a discussion pointless when they say “I know 100x more than you/lift 100x more than you/I am better than you/I am the man, your just a kid/I have blabla certificate in personal training so I know everything”.
Examples I’ve encountered during past 2 months:
-
“Drinking 10-12 diet soda per day is recommended because I drink it and I am totally fine”
-
“Drinking vodka is better than beer since you get drunk with less calories” Who wants to get drunk as bb?
-
“If you wanna train your chest hard you should fatigue your shoulders and triceps before benchpress” Coming from a guy who has never done it, and misunderstood prefatigument, but insisted for 28pages.
-
“If you eat 5000kcal a day you should eat 20omega pills per day to stay health”, "I am an expert and have 2 harddisks full of pdf’s, you are stupid"etc…
-
“creatine helps you the same way as carbohydrate”,“you’re just a wikipedia quoter” Obviously no when creatinephosphate is a storage for phosphate and glucose is broken down to form new ATP. While as making creatinphosphate uses ATP, so it can give phosphate back to ADP to turn to ATP during intense exercise.
-
“Dont eat carbohydrates, we can live healthily just by fat and protein, humans are complex devices”,“I am a phycisit I take accurate measurements” “you’re just kid, I am working, sonny”
Seriously, no need to eat carbs?
Typical scenario:
A. You get the best shoulder exercise by training calf raises
B(me). What the f*** ?
A. I am an expert, I have 2 harddisk full of pdf’s, you have just wikipediaknowledge, I have personal training degree in douchebaggery from Muscle Fitness, go away idiot kid.
does that make you want to keep posting ?
I agree I can be harsh myself too at times, but I only react like that when people give straightout weird and bad advice like for example not eating carbs at all. But this general ‘know-it-all’ ego attitude just makes one not want to post here anymore.
