Which part? The actual dialogue, or SteelyD abuse of Google’s image search to describe the thread’s sentiment? Lmfao
There isn’t a better thread on the Internet, now or ever, to post unicorns touching horns.

Appears to be porn star. Google images returns me zero vulgar pics. She has been down graded to regular woman…

Please, Mods, can you also bring that thread about Darkninjaa’s training over here.

I don’t think it belongs to the BB section now. It’s way over GAL quality.

Cheers.

As predicted, in a sweeping victory, the LiveSpill has officially won.

The site doesn’t need these forums to profit, it’s actually surprising they’re even still here.
Thank god for the loyal few who have kept the place standing for so long, way before I started posting. They’re the only reason these forums are still up and running. Biotest still feels at least somewhat loyal to us even though this place has dissolved into the typical Internet bog that is most forums. Maybe they remember what it used to be like too? Most of the posters left here don’t even know what the forums used to be.

These forums could be a community.
Hell, this place could be a family.
Where else do you get to discuss and collaborate with so many other successful and like-minded people?
Where else can you have access to the best training advice and support like T Nation?

Why don’t we all, just for a while, try only posting something if it contains relevant information on training?
Leave your bickering to GAL, and PWI, where it belongs.

Maybe I have an idealized vision of what these forums are, some of you assholes were my heroes for fucks sake.I started reading and forum stalking this site when I was 11 years old, I loved reading about how Bauer trained for Football, I loved watching push, who’s as old as my dad, Deadlift 500lbs, I loved reading Professor X’s endless “eat a damn burger” responses.
I still remember post-stalking the old Alpha forum a few years ago, if it wasn’t for those discussions, I don’t think I’d be a college athlete.
Fuck… I’d probably be a drug addict like all of my old friends.

This Forum meant something to people once, it’d be a shame if it turned into just another forum.
As posters here, you have the opportunity to help people, if that doesn’t mean enough to you to be civil and to respect each other, then I suppose this site deserves to burn.
Its posts like this that started the “Brotherhood of Iron” thread, and subsequent T Cell, many years ago.

Amen, brother. I wish this message would permeate the boards a bit more.

I only click on threads like this in the hopes that they’ve turned into a gif/meme fest. Keeps me up to date on what’s supposed to be funny on the internet these days.

imhungry, you’re totally nailing it, old cat man.
Kinda sad you didn’t post discodancingtwinkintutu.gif, though. Manly tears were shed. :frowning:

Why so serious, pal (long time no talk, btw: hope you’re doing fine)?

It’s a cool compliment for a site to have influenced a teenager to forgo drugs in favor of athleticism (good work, iVoodoo). But can we suspend drama and maudlin reminiscence for a moment, please?

You got to look at things in context: with increasingly more people with internet access and an interest in all things fitness, body culture, crossfit, mma yadda yadda yadda, it’s no wonder quality goes down proportionally. It’s simple maths, Lonnie.

Still, there’s a lot of sub forums on TN attracting all kinds of folks. The Over 35 subforum, for example, exudes a strong sense of camaraderie (or at least used to, I haven’t been around for quite some time). As I’ve already stated, some Indigo Logs are fun to read and yield some useful tidbits here and there.

I think, given all that, Biotest really comes through with its forums, what with the cultural diversity and all.

This is coming from a guy who absolutely hates the way his posts show up out of sync (I still don’t know why my posts are getting queued to be verified by some mods before they show up), broken PMs (yeah, yeah, insert funny joke here) and bad site performance. Still: I’m not a direct Biotest customer (being from Europe and all, I don’t order from overseas), have full reading access to the forums and articles going back to 1998 - for free.

+++ Cliff’s Notes +++
So, bottom line: what I’ve always liked about TN is the information diversity (what with articles sometimes detailing opposing views on training and nutrition on the same site).

Also, having been invested in this site on and off for the better part of a decade, it’s cool to see some people still hang around (such as you, Lonnie, or guys like SteelyD, BlueCollarTra8n, Stu, even debraD IIRC), though I do miss certain characters, some for the information value they provided (Cephalic_Carnage comes to mind), some for sheer entertainment value (not naming names, trying to be respectful for once).

Also, TCA is still around, afaik people can still apply for ‘membership’ in that cell. TCA provides a good environment for estrogen-free discussions, but for some reason it lays kinda dormant. Apparently, there’s no such need.

Funny, how estrogen seems to be exuded mostly by men on this site. Kinda destroys sexism for me ;(

I feel like this deserves a counter-point:
George Leeman wrote:
However, T-Nation is where I met a poster called Professor X. To this day he has done more to help my progress than any other source of knowledge. A huge guy who preached about multiple year bulks, getting super strong, and to not try to cut every time you see a little fat gain.

I think infiniteshore, browndisaster, and a few others SHOULD block Professor X simply so we don’t have to deal with the bullshit every time X wants to post. It’s just plain annoying. If you cannot stand the man that much; block him. It would save him the trouble and improve the quality of posts for everybody else.

Professor X may not be perfect but none of us are. However, unlike others, some of us are able to look past that and realize that he still holds a great deal of knowledge when it comes to lifting. His advice may not be for everyone but he has still helped a lot of people learn.

Agree with this.
