Some Insight with a Client that is Crushing it Right Now

Haha dude that’s so true. I hate to be the only comic geek noticing these things. Punisher does have other worldly Fortitude though.

I think captain America would be more appropriate but I digress.lol

In fairness, Batman is usually called a superhero, or at least a hero, and he’s just a rich vigilante.

The fact Batman is called anything but “awful” is a tragedy.

"Hey guys, you ever read that weird issue of Richie Rich when his parents got murdered and he learned karate and fought crime?

Oh wait, sorry, I was thinking about Batman"

I’m not a big Batman fan, especially of many of the comics, but I enjoyed Frank Miller’s DK2.

Yeah, Frank Miller can make any franchise fascinating. Him and Garth Ennis. I’d read my cellphone warranty if it was written by those guys.

Also, Batman: the killing joke. Alan Moore is the best of the best. Always.

I’ve tried explaining to people how much Watchmen the movie sucked and they just don’t get it. NO RORSCHACH PSYCHOLOGICAL PROFILING SEQUENCE???

(Sorry for sidetracking the thread)

Watchmen the book is hands down one of the greatest comics in history. The movie was good, but failed to dive into the philosophy behind each character. The whole ethical conflicts between deontology and utilitarian ideals, being balanced by the comedians nihilistic/absurdist viewpoints made for an amazingly thought provoking read that just didn’t carry over to the big screen.

It should have been made into a miniseries, you’d need 10 one-hour episodes to even scratch the surface. I was fortunate enough to go to an amazing public high school with a pair of teachers that I still keep in contact with, who started a graphic novel elective and spent a month dissecting Watchmen. Everything from the story down to recurring geometric shapes (of which there are more than you’d care to imagine) is genius. There’s a reason it won awards that were thereafter amended to not include graphic novels. In today’s political climate, the subtle but noteworthy counting down of the doomsday clock at the top of the chapters is more relevant than ever.

End thread hijack.

I think hes known as the worlds greatest detective. Hes not classified as a superhero.

If you like that check out a unique captain america called truth: red, white and black. Its a spin on the tuskegee experiments.

It means my fingers are too fat for my phone…

I meant “loading up on volume”. Sorry!

He’s not a superhero by definition, but I’d say he’s closer to that than he is a regular street-level detective.

Jesus, looks like Batman needs a new suit of plot armor.

Very, very jealous

I am a massive, massive captain America fan (seriously considering a cap shield tattoo…), so now frantically googling this. Thanks for the recommendation

I know his not “natty”. but how good is Spider-Man.

6% body-fat, crazy quads, the acrobatic athletic movement… how can you not want to be Spider-Man?

Re: BB for Strength Athletes. My gym doesn’t have a hack squat machine. Could I replace this with another squat variation. Barbell lunges perhaps? (I’m recovering from some patella tendinopathy which does not like bilateral squatting)

This comment alone made my entire morning already.

Batman is truly the most suck of any “superhero” ever created. Absolute f’n garbage.

There are some Batman storylines that I believe to be worth the read, if I had to mention just one it’d be “Batman: Venom” where he falls into substance abuse after failing to save a young 'un.

I loved Batman, and have therefore lost respect for many of you as worthwhile human beings. For shame.

Lol green lantern is the worst imo. Lots of good batman stories.
