Soldiering On

Woohoo!! You’re leaning out a ton! And like Deb said, you’re def looking strong - such a nice balance.

That cage is cool! But yeah, putting it in the upstairs room seems a bit dangerous…Do you have a garage?

LOL!! Poor you! That little one is a handful! HAHAH!

Had a pretty good day today…went and found a shoe store(that actually existed!!) It was in the next town over from where we were yesterday.(go figure!)
Got fitted in a really good shoe. I over pronate and have a greater than average q-angle like I thought. The owner of the shoe store is a Physical Therapist…COOL!

I was thinking more about the cage…the safest place to have it would be the backyard…and then I think would I really go out in the backyard and train all the time? In the heat, in the winter? should I get it anyway, because it’s awesome and Im building up my home gym anyway??

Its such a good price its hard to say no.

Yeah…the heat…eyeroll

oh, and no, no garage…
but the housing that we’re more than likely going to next has one!

ugh

Why did I have to go and look at the classifieds? I was actually looking for an upright bike…

Totally cheated with some movie theater popcorn today…took the kids to see HOP as well…Julia’s first movie and she did great! At least she behaves when it counts, mainly saving her mood swings for yours truly.

Having this for dinner…Indian food in a can, lol…Its delicious though!!

what, it gets hot here!

like 100 degrees plus a thousand % humidity…

I think I’ll just scratch the whole idea…I’d definitely do it if we had a garage or basement.

I will pass on my good find vibes to you all*****

My new shoes are attention whores
There my first pair of REAL shoes…Ordinarily I wouldn’t pay as much as I did, but they should last a good while and are worth it for my health

There so comfy I don’t want to take them off!

Shoes do look pretty cool. Nice.

Definitely looking lean. Gotta get that ass back though! More squats, more rdls, more, more, more! Seriously, you look great. How much longer on the diet?

nice shoes! shame about the rack. still, guess it is a bit tricky if you don’t have anywhere to put it.

Soldog keeps his rack in an upstairs room. I think he added some wood planks for solidity. Not sure though, you’d have to ask him.

shoes look comfy but a little too squishy for some heavy deads and squats… not that I want to burst your bubble.

well, even if I had decided to get that rack, someone else swooped in and claimed it yesterday. fair is fair!

Hubby was actually kinda bummed, which made me kinda bummed…he said he would have built me a shelter/shed type thing for it…oh well. I’ll just keep my eye out for another one!

RE: diet.

I should be able to put just as much focus into training and eating clean that I do with dieting… If I keep things super clean with heavy lifts and gasp cardio, then there’s no reason I couldn’t make the progress I want without the strict dieting.
Somehow it doesn’t work out. The cardio doesn’t get done and the eating gets lazy…

I do want to get to 165 to prove to myself that I can. And I want to prove that I can get shit done without being on a shitty diet. I’m sick of dieting…As much as I have done, I shoulda just been training/cutting for a bb’ing comp.
Something about not being on a diet unleashes all the restrictions I had put on myself while I was on. Not good.

Logging food would keep me more accountable…and keeping up with the pics/measurements.

shoes are not for squats and deads. Socks or ‘chucks.’ (I have airwalks)

and yes Veg, more squats and DLs needed, STAT!!!

And about the rack…even if I had put it upstairs, I don’t trust the sturdy-ness(or lack there of) of the floor…even with extra support.

And thats supposed to be our ‘guest room’ the stuff that is in there now could easily be moved.

Sorry you missed out on the rack. I’m sure you’ll find another soon.

If you think logging your food would help–do it. You’ve made tremendous progress–especially with the quitting smoking and keeping the weight off–that’s super impressive. You’ll get those last few pounds off–plan your attack and go for it!

Actually my rack in on my ground floor with a concrete pad. I would be careful putting it on a regular floor.

my bad- for some reason when you moved it into the guest bedroom I had pictured it on the 2nd floor.

LOL - I actually moved it from the basement bedroom on the east side of the house to the pool (billiard) room on the west side of the house, hence the sunshine you commented on.

END HIJACK MiM

sorry you missed out on the power rack deal

Logging your food intake really helps identify additional calories that have a way of sneaking up on you. I cant seem to keep a log more than 3 weeks before I lose interest.

It is an eye opener, without being on a restrictive diet.

Off to the gym.

Feeling Lean…but I think I’m ‘LITERALLY,’ working my butt off :([/quote]

Looking good! Your legs seem miles long in this shot!

Thanks Edgy! And making it ‘public,’ such as writing it down here makes it more real as well…

Pch- how YOU doin? Thanks!!

My hand held BF% is telling me 23.4%!

I quickly decided this morning that there would be no training/cardio :frowning: I had been up since 3am(thanks to the howling wind) and I’m battling the kid germs that are trying to plague me…I think I’m winning though.

Took a little nap instead, and then sat outside to get some VIT D(got some color too!), took a shower and am feeling better, kinda… was hard not to flake out on my person I have to meet at the gym, especially since the weather is so nice…but I’m not, so I’m off!

Made it out for my ‘run.’ In the nick of time too…as soon as I walked through the door, the sky opened up and poured.

I’m doing the nifty couch 2 5k program…

Followed by:

db squats- 3x12
static lunge (rehab for the forward leaner) 3x15
ins-n- outs- 2x25
hip extensions on ball- 3x20
single leg DL- 2x15x25db—> …my balance isn’t that great and my right leg is full on retarded. But I tell ya, they hit the glutes pretty darn good, and thats what I’m going for…

year of the leg and GLUTES!!

also did 2x30 flutter kicks(3 count, 1,2,3, 1!)
and hello dollies

2x20- oblique v-ups

sorry about wanting the power rack and then not getting it…I know the disappointment…so I chose to not look at the “ads”…well, sometimes I do still dream.

Pick a meet yet?
