Soldiering On

lol…right on Veg!

I like to steam mine, lots of salt and pepper. YUMMM!!

Here in MD, shares I’ve looked at seem to average about 500 for the summer and some have an extended season into the fall for 200(Oct-late NOV). I just emailed a place to find out if it was too late to join!

I have a cucumber on the chopping block next and a bag o green beans with dinner!

crazy arch, just crazy.

Hey, thanks Neighbor!

'Kay…

no more talkin bout boiled veggies in this thread, mkay?

Hey Edgy,

On my way to make me some steak as we speak…nom nom nom

Thinking of my hubby, missing him a lot lately.

This time last year we found out he was leaving and I couldn’t imagine all the days that I’d have to get through without him. But I did… all 350 days to be exact.

where it began…
it was so depressing seeing the wall…once we got the first row knocked out I was a little less depressed

Great bench. You have a killer arch

vegetables? ewwww

I need to eat more veggies. What can I add to make them taste better, or just different? Don’t want cheese (though I’d love it) and little or no salt. Something else like wrapping asparagus in bacon.

aw. yeah, i bet that calender looked really depressing until you got a fair few x’s up there. i gotta start writing down some of these wonderful cooking creations if i’m venturing into the kitchen to cook eggs…

OOH! Hey, CVB…thanks for dropping in and thanks for the compliment!!!

Trav- eat your broccoli!!!

Alexus, ya…it sucked

Lookit, what I found!!! http://smd.craigslist.org/spo/2295737136.html
If you don’t click, its a cage, with a bench, safety hooks, pull up bar, etc…that comes with:

Lifting bar â?? 45lb.
2x 45lb.
2x 35lb.
2x 25lb.
2x 10lb.
4x 5lb.
2x 2-1/2 lb.

Sounds like a power cage?? For $150!!!

Question is, is that I don’t know how I would get it upstairs, haha! Maybe it can hang outside til the hubby gets home and he can take it apart/put it back together again…hmmmm

Oh and lucky for me, I just love veggies.

For example, for lunch I’m planning a big spinach and shrimp salad, with bacon bits and a raspberry vinaigrette dressing…mmmmm

stir fry’s. salads…in omlettes? raw w/lo fat dressing or greek yogurt. celery w/pb.
Then there’s always vegetable juice. Or maybe superfood?

I just eat veggies cause there nom nom nom…you’ll know you are truly hungry when a bowl of steamed broccoli sounds like the best thing EVAR!!!

Sounds like a cage to me, with a full set of oly plates and bar. For 150 bucks?! Awesome. Ask the dude for a pic, and buy that shit now! Sure it can wait outside for a little while, it’s not going to hurt it.

Why can’t I find a cage for cheap around here? Damnit. I’ll have to build my own powercage next…

Lucky, I guess…just called the guy and he doesn’t sound creepy. They just had a baby and need to make more room. The cage does come apart…maybe I can pay him a bit extra to put it back together? hmmm

Going tomorrow to take a look…WOOT!!

With the way I put down veggies alone, would only make sense to do the CSA! I’m at the store every other day it seems.
My kids eat em…as well the Man.

Lunch:

1 bag o spinach
1 bag o salad shrimp(steamed with old bay seasoning)
green onion
little salad topper crunchy things
2 tbsp ff raspberry vinaigrette

And I’m still hungry!

I know I would be after eating that rabbit food.

Gitcha somma dis!

I’ve been using a bag of baby spinach leaves as a sub for a bag of chips lately. They make for pretty good mindless eating.

That’s just mean :frowning:

I see how it is Edgy…

you can have your bloaty food and I’ll take my lean rabbit food ANY DAY! (although check back next Friday during my refeed  )

Ink is going to strangle me, but I’m having second thoughts about getting that cage+weights ducks
I know it’s a steal, but it would be an impulse buy.

Realistically we don’t have any room for it :frowning: I need to work with what I already have. And actually, the spare room is supposed to be a guest room, teehee. Unless I lifted strictly outdoors?? hmm…I don’t even trust the floors up there to hold me up…I told the story of one of our friends falling through the floor onto the couch downstairs, right? ya…
