I used to think that too. when she first became popular in the U.S. I thought, great another blonde pop-star … I wonder if this one has a brain …
but when I finally heard her spanish music I thought she sounded pretty original. she has a wide variety of singing styles too. so, if you haven’t heard her whole (spanish) album, you probably shouldn’t be so quick to judge her ability. Plus, she writes her own music and plays guitar. Not to mention she speaks several languages fluently and despite all of her success and wealth, she is still taking the time to continue her education in language and music.
I like her because she’s smart, sexy, talented, and still cares about the people living in poverty in South America (my family is also from S. America). She also charges much less for concert tickets here in the U.S. than most performers because she wants it to be affordable to anyone. all around she just rocks.
