Music You are Ashamed to Love.

I love metal, always have, always will. But lately I’ve been supplementing my stagnant musical tastes with a myriad of genres and artists. I found a lot of gems in alternative, rap, techno, and acoustic covers of rap songs. But this thread is about another musical beast entirely, mainstream sellout lame crap shit music that you know you aren’t supposed to like but do.

A few of mine to get started:

4 Minutes by Madonna
Lovefool by the Cardigans (I know, I’m sorry)
Wake Up Call by Maroon 5

I don’t want to see Sandman by Metallica or Smooth by Santana, it’s gotta be legitimate crap music. So pay your damn respects to Pulp Fiction and grab your Samurai swords and cut loose your shameful musical gimps.

“Riding on the Metro”
“Take My Breath Away” Berlin

“Voices Carry” Til Tuesday

“Running Up That Hill” Kate Bush

And anything by Celine Dion.

I am ashamed to say I like this song. Hilarious!

I’ve been Rick Roll’d so much I actually like it…

Well, appreciate it…

Okay ok. Tolerate it…

“Video killed the Radio Star” - The Buggles , and other ‘great’ hits from the 80s

anything by Kelly Clarkson

Leningrad - Nikogo Ne Zhalko

The boggs - Arm to arm remix

Placebo - Running up that hill

Kate Bush - Running up that hill

Damn i’m ashamed, maybe except the arm to arm song.

I can actually listen to the whole song. Hence me posting the link, I’m not rick rolling anyone… I actually catch myself humming it sometimes…

(goes and curls up in the corner)

Oh and i forgot 99 luft ballons by Nena

“live to tell” madonna

“rythym is gunna get you” gloria estefan

“girls just wanna have fun” cyndi lauper

lol, nd most trance songs nd funky shit like that.

ready set go by tokio hotel

dance floor anthem by good charlotte

I am a big Neil Diamond fan

Not ashamed at all, but some may think I should be:

Anything from them. Astonishing talent in this whole outfit. Voices, musicians, arrangement, production, everything. I sometimes train to this music.

Ugh, I can’t believe I’m admitting this:

I am ashamed to admit that I know almost every song by Barry Manilow. Growing up, My other played his albums every morning, while she was getting ready for work. I cannot help but like it a little.

I think that constitutes child abuse.

More shame:

I listen to celine dion, cascada, kelly clarkson, techno…

80’s metal…

Wow, Tribulus…I clicked on that link and I gotta tell you…that woman can sing! I think you may have turned me on to a whole new group…seriously. Thanks.

And I’m not gonna lie…I think Celine Dion is an awesome singer, I really like Cascada, and how’s this for a confession / dichotmy: the first two albums I ever owned were Ozzy’s Bark at the Moon and Barry Manilow’s Greatest Hits (Vol 2). Yup. I’m a Fanilow. How embarrassing.

Metalhead here that listens to Stevie Nicks and Prince once in awhile.

NO SHAME HERE!:

OK… Maybe a little
