I remember that happening in 1997, people we pulled over on the side of the road, scared to drive in it. I thought it was funny being from the mid-west.
The sun is breaking and its more raining now but it was snowing since about 3 this morning. It is standing snow. Have a snowball in the freezer right now.
People in this town just can’t drive…thats the biggest worry.
Yeah, it briefly snowed mixed with the sleet a couple nights here (Dallas). I was really excited. It didn’t last long but there was ice on my truck the next morning, which was cool.
What town are you in? I heard it was snowing in Lake Charles and Lafayette. Before I moved to Al I had only seen snow about 6 times in my life and maybe only once or twice in Louisiana.

I meant, what part of BR are you in?
Yesterday in Boston it was 65.
Al Gore was onto something…
I live off of bluebonnet but it was all over southern louisiana. Folks in new orleans told it was snowing there too.
Isn’t that over there by Seigan Lane? I saw on facebook where someone posted it was snowing in NOLA also. I remember we had a bad freeze a few years ago, but nothing really since then. It was 2001, I think, but I really can’t remember. I just know it was around Christmas/New Years.

We just got dumped on over the past few days, close to a foot of snow and people still drive like they have never seen snow in their lives.
A few years ago it snowed on Christmas day and it was ok but it mostly just meant that the hour drive from NOLA to BR was 3 hours instead of an hour.
Where the fuck is global warming?
Oh yea, it’s a myth.
We’re going to Loranger, right outside of Hammond, for a family reunion next weekend. Hopefully the weather will clear up by then.
Yeah, it happened in Houston too. Pretty wild!
I would say it happens like every 10-15 years or so, but it snowed about three years ago, all the way to Corpus Christie, breaking the pattern.
Same here with the drivers. Everybody freaks and goes like 20. The local news was reporting a new fender bender about every 30 minutes.
The weekend is fore casted to be sunny and in the mid seventies however. Which is awesome.
Our counterparts in Jackson, Mississippi just emailed us and they are closing for the day because they are expecting 6 inches of snow!

Al Gore is so full of shit, his eyes leak brown.
We already have over 14" of snow in Milwaukee, passing last year’s totals at this point in time. Last year saw the largest snowfall on record for the state of Wisconsin.
It’s also 9 degrees colder on average than last year.
Global warming my ass.
Seabrook, TX (near Houston)
last time this happened was the year for Katrina… this year Ike…

I don’t know why they think they can say what the earth will do in 10-15 years, they can’t even tell me with any accuracy what the earth is going to do next Thursday.
I would put global warming in the maybe/maybe not category just like Big Foot. Non confirmed at this point.
