Wanted to drop in and say nice job on the chin ups, I’m looking forward to seeing your success in PL this year!

Did your original program call for squats and DLs on the same day? or are you modifying it?

The sumo DLs are just accessory work. I pick my own accessory exercises and mix it up on occasion. Hence the light DL weights. My main DL day is Friday. I do wide-stance squats on that day as accessory work.

I’ve never done GMs but am thinking of introducing them. Are they helping your squats?[/quote]
I think GMs are one of the best accessory exercises to train the lower back/glutes/hammies. They are good for squat and especially conventional DL.
KP,
Ty for the emasculating chin-up video, my wife walked in while I was watching and asked if I could do that many, when I said no, she laughed and said “And you think you’re so strong.” and went to make breakfast, I am pretty sure she was mocking me. Excellent work, even if it does make me look like a chump.

What he said.

I’d love to see a video of your sumo set-up. For obvious reasons! If it works for you, it could work for me.

Your wish is my command. I’ll video my sumos next Monday.
So sorry to cause emasculating feelings, Brian. Chinups are about the only thing I do in the gym that’s even remotely impressive.
Outstanding. I now have a new goal to go along with mt 1000lb combined. Just trying to keep up with you.
