And the deadlifts.
Great work!
I bet with a tight belt you would have a better feel for “just enough” depth on squats. I agree, you are leaving a lot on the table by going so deep.
Super, super job on the deads.
Again, great work.
Nice work, Snap. You should come teach depth at my gym. No one seems to know what it is!!!
yes, your back!!! you’ve come a long way! congrats…
Nice Job snap…I’ll bet that felt good, huh?
nice lift on the last vid, the other two were way to easy, or you made it look that way!

My 77-lb. bench. A definite feat for me to have this go up so fast.
Great Job !!! All your hard work has paid off!
Was that your pump up son… Funky town?
I was so happy to see you back on that platform that I had tears in my eyes. GOD I am such a sap.
Seriously great work.
Now I want a 200+ deadlift for myself even more.
Great job my dear. That must be a real confidence booster for you.
I agree with your assessment of your squats. They almost look like Olympic style, high bar, narrow and deep as hell. You won’t get called on depth, that’s for sure.
Bench looked easy and so did deadlift. They were both really solid.
Congratulations.
Great work Snapper. We are all very proud of you and your recovery!
Purple Chucks and pigtails, Oh My!!! (the deadlift socks were awesome too)
A most excellent, snappy performance.
I am not an aspiring powerlifter. So I speak my truth when I say I would be ecstatic to have your squat form.
Thank you so much for all the nice compliments. I have so much work to do and am so stoked to do it.
Another great day at the meet with the men lifting. Got to handle my coach. Wow. That is a lot of work. He’s pretty intense when he’s lifting. I learned a lot. Timing the warmups and gear and . . . lots to think about. He went 9/9 and broke several American records for his age group.
Forgot to mention the projectile vomiting one of the juniors did during DL at the meet yesterday. I had a pretty good seat for it and found it quite exciting. When I went on the platform today to give my coach his bench liftoffs, I could still smell the nasty vomit.
I’ll start a new training cycle in a week.
a year ago I was reading about your surgery and now you’ve got the 2x bodyweight deadlift in the bag!
what an inspiration
and digging the sox too.
awesome comeback meet Snap. Bet you’re glad did the rehab the right way, even if it took longer than you wanted.
No jokes about the squat depth, but you will have some much more once you learn not to go sooooo low.
Do you get any leg drive on your bench?
So glad you decided to try the meet,it must be a great confidence builder now.
Nice work- what a great way to comeback
Snapper!!! I’m so g;ad you did the meet!! With me!! I wanna do all my meets with you and PMPM…I’m completely spoiled now:)
You’re incredibly knowledgeable too on the sport. ( She was calling the lifts for the various problems, and was spot on all of them!–future ref i forsee??) You’re coach is a character too!!
You did awesome-- I’m so proud, so impressed!! You made it very fun and helped me calm down, as well as being there for all the other lifters. Can’t wait to see you in march—with the pink suit ![]()
Congrats Snap, looks like you killed it.
Woke up sicker than a dog today. I’ve had a cough/cold for the past few days, but I woke up totally felled by it today. Thank goodness my body had the presence of mind to wait till today to shut down. So I plan to rest for the next few days and catch up on everyone else’s training.
One last note about the meet. I actually broke a few raw USAPL state records for M1b. Just not a lot of women my size/age competing at a local level.
Brute: I’m knowledgeable about the sport because early in my training, my coach printed out the entire IPF rulebook and made me read it. He regularly quizzes me on obscure details. And I better get the right answers. He’s an international referee and definitely a character.
I like how you say “broke a few state records” like its no big deal.
