Do eet…

Today’s training:

Decided to stay with my original Smolov Jr. plan. Mostly because I want the opportunity to pull maximal DLs one more time before I get on the platform and don’t want to try to cram too much into too little time. The bottom line is that NONE OF THIS REALLY MATTERS.

Smolov Week 1, Day 2

Squat
8/45
5/75
3/100
8/4/112

No trouble with the weight. Threw in some assistance work. I’ll cut this out the week before the meet or whenever I get weary since I’m not supposed to be doing it per program protocol.

Lat Pulldown
3/8/80

A) Weighted Hypers
3/10/35

B) Leg Extension
3/10/80

Went shopping with my husband, with pseudo-sick daughter in tow. Got some cute boots. But they’re not high heeled. Tried on a bunch of strappy heels, but didn’t buy any. A fun exercise nonetheless.

I’d like to see the boots. I need to get some new black ones. The other day I pulled out an old pair of ‘pleather’ ones that I loved and the seams had corroded or something. I want nice ones for work that aren’t super sexy/high but look nice with a skirt.

Also you are very kind, I would have told those A-holes to get out of my way. red shirt your [/quote]

No shit Joe! Can’t those yo-yo’s see you’re setting up for a lift.

You are nothing less than awesome Snap! That’s fantastic lifting girl.

Snap my hats off to you dead lifting around the mentally challenged. Great lift and form. Do you know the old guy with the knee wraps and red shirt? Another reason why I thank the Good Lord that I invested in a home gym.

Here’s what I bought in chocolate.

These suit my style. I can honestly say I could probably put in a sub 30-minute 5K in these.

That’s my coach. He’s an old-time powerlifter who’s full of knowledge.

Those are nice. While I like the look of heels, I’m not that great in them so I find that style quite appealing.

love the boots! gorgeous and practical.

Good, cause I really was thinking wow she can do that with this guy just staring at her. Probably best coach you could have.

I went to the high school gymnastics state finals tonight. Those girls are amazing. And so many of them would be phenomenal powerlifters. Most are short, compact, and exceedingly muscular, strong, and flexible. What more do you need to be a champion in powerlifting?

i love gymnasts! have you seen the adorable lil male ones? Lovely

Pecs, rear delts, seated row, triceps, and . . .

Chins
6,5,4,3,2

Wide-Grip Pullup
1

^^My first. Boy, these are hard.

Glad the stability and confidence is coming back. Do you ever do push-up variations?

Wow, I’m really impressed with how quickly and how strong you have come back from such a significant surgery.

We are even on the wide grip pullups. One is all I’ve ever managed.

Your bench is coming along, which is awesome news!

Those boots will be cute on you. However as similar as we are in many ways, we part company on the issue of heels.

awesome work on the pullup. I can’t even dream of that, and my shoulders are moderately healthy. How did your shoulder feel post-pullup?

Congrats on the wide grip pullups. Your recovery from your Sx has been fantastic.
