Snap Back

Im very happy for you. Im happy to see the hard work you have been putting in to rehab on the shoulder is starting to pay off.

200-lb. DL. 20 lb. away from 2x bodyweight. Lots left in the tank.[/quote]

ROCK ON!!!

Soldog: My best raw DL max is 215 lb. But I don’t know if that is a true max because I usually throw a suit on at some point.

Yeah, it was bizarre that I was set up to pull and several people kept walking in my space totally oblivious. It’s not like there aren’t other paths to take.

Anyway. I did rehabby upper body work in the gym last night. It just amazes me that I can pull a 200-lb. DL but can barely do lateral raises with 4-lb. DBs. How can that be? My shoulder really is so weak. I don’t know if it will gradually get stronger or whether it is what it is. Tasks like hanging laundry and putting dishes away in an overhead cupboard are still very tiring for me. Luckily, my shoulder disability doesn’t affect my ability to squat and DL.

Believe it or not, it’s almost time for me to see my surgeon again (for the umpteenth time), so I’ll direct some of these questions to him.

Happy halloween!

Nice pulling, Snap.

Also you are very kind, I would have told those A-holes to get out of my way. Is the guy in the red shirt your coach or is he stalking you?

D cup my ass.

That is my coach.

Where’s your sense of humor?

It’s in my A cup.

Nice and easy looking deadlift. Good work.

Well, I didn’t have a specific plan today. Which is never a good thing when heading to the gym. So I did some squats and played around with knee wraps a bit. Haven’t been in knee wraps since last March. I think I recently lambasted O for saying she didn’t like the wraps. You know what? How could I have forgotten what a pain in the ass and how painful they are?

Squat
8/45
5/75
4/90
3/105
2/120

Knees wrapped:
1/135 Very sluggish squat
1/145 Good
1/155 Good
1/165 Unexpected crash. Really upset about it. Should have tried again, but I elected to pout instead.

Good Morning
3/8/70

A)Lying Hamstring Curl
2/10/70

B) Good Girl
2/10/85

C) Bad Girl
2/10/85

Hadn’t done lower body assistance work like this in a month. Boy, could I feel it.

I’ve decided to run another three-week Smolov Jr. cycle, but will cut out the 6 x 6 day and add in heavy walkouts.

What is a “good girl” and “bad girl”?

The mind boggles!

This made me smile. Yes, I am easily amused.

Nice work.

Also, (better late than never) the DL was sweet! 2xbw is a done deal. Looking forward to seeing the video…

Do I even want to know?

Didn’t mean to be cryptic.

Good girl machine = adduction (pushing thighs together)

Bad girl machine = abduction (pushing thighs apart)

I guess this is girl-training-speak. Notice I’m keeping the weight the same, so I can be equal parts good girl/bad girl.

Do it in knee socks and video. Then we’ll talk about good girl/bad girl.

I find wraps yucky. I liked them in the beginning but if I have to choose partial gear to train in, I’ll pick suit bottoms every time. Just doing the wrapping can be so tiring.

Some times I elect to pout as well. More recently I’ve elected to vacuum in anger. My vacuum now has duct tape on it. We all deal in different ways.

Ask Jumpin’ Jack what he calls it…

Its called the “yes” machine and the “no” machine

I must admit that I’m a little shy about videoing myself. But recording myself on a good girl/bad girl machine with knee socks? I would feel like a total dolt.

I don’t wrap myself. If I did that, I wouldn’t even have the energy to squat the bar.

This is a very productive way to pout. You can come pout at my house anytime. I win the award for the worst housekeeper ever. I love to tell the story about the three-year-old who was potty training but scared to use my toilet because it hadn’t been cleaned in . . . awhile. Luckily, my husband never complains.
