@ throws56 let me know how that goes for you. It seems like a great way to lean out. I’ve considered doing it myself but I’m doing 2 cups of oatmeal pwo and keeping my carbs tight throughout the rest of the day.
it seems to be going very well. its still early though, one week into it, on my last workout, I did dips with 100lbs and it felt the bests its felt since following a leangains type workout regime.

I did the high carb and low carb days like it is originally proposed by Martin Berkhan, but stuffing over 100 carbs PWO left me feeling painfully bloated.

I stilll plan on doing at least one carb up day a week so try and keep leptin raised and give me a break from so much GD eggs and meat.

Its now week two and the results are a 6 pound drop in weight (water), no fatigue, no strength loss, and no flatness.

I would say though, if you are going to go low carb IF diet and workout protocol and high calories PWO should be followed. I do not think this would work out as well if I spread the calories over 6 meals thru out the day, or by doing high volume workouts.

Typical Breakfast…

3 Egg whites, 2 whole eggs, spinach, couple pieces of turkey bacon

22 oz. Porterhouse steak (seasoned with salt and fresh cracked pepper) and a broiled zucchini

Chicken breast stuffed with spinach, fat free mozzarella, sun dried tomatoes, bits of turkey bacon, and pesto. Lemon zest sprinkled on top.

16 oz. sirloin seasoned with salt, fresh cracked pepper, and chili powder. Cooked medium rare, of course. Side of broiled asparagus.

Edit: And an indulgence with a glass of cabernet

Im following 5/3/1 and would be consuming roughly 1000 calories pwo.
sounds good then

DInner.

Yeah, I’m drinking bud light. And yeah, I am a poor student.

Lunch today. Ground turkey, corn, black beans, diced chipotle peppers, and spinach that was sauteed in toasted sesame oil. Delicious

That looks really good.

Here’s a Kodak moment, which at least a few of you might appreciate.

I’ve been a vegetarian for years, and every morning I eat the same thing: McCann’s steel cut oats with raisins, a single chopped date, and a handful of walnuts. I stir coconut oil and raw honey into it and sprinkle some cinnamon on top. Then I eat a banana and swallow an uncooked egg.

Not today.

First I cooked three strips of organic, uncured bacon. Meanwhile, I made a single serving of guacamole by mashing an avocado on my plate using a fork, stirring in lime juice and garlic with a bit of salt. I diced an onion and a tomato and divided those between the guacamole and my omelet ingredients.

When the bacon was done I sauteed the onion in the grease. I added three cloves of minced garlic and followed that with thickly sliced cremini mushrooms, the remaining diced tomato, and a handful of baby spinach. I put these in a bowl with a paper towel to drain off some of the grease, because I’m still somewhat scared of it and there was so much and it was more than I deserved.

Then I cooked a three egg omelet in the remaining bacon fat, added my toppings, folded it over, somehow, and topped it with nutritional yeast.

Yeah. Today was a good day.

Yes, I’m bulking

PWO meal

Brown pasta : 350g
Tomatoes & tomato paste home made sauce
Ground beef : 200g
Grated cheese : 50g

SOmething like 2000 Kcal 100g prots 250g carbs

Haha, in the middle of a cut phase right now. Only carbs are pre and post workout, with the occasional bowl of oatmeal with breakfast in the morning.

Dinner.

8 oz baked salmon filet. With liberal olive oil, lemon juice, chives, rosemary and thyme. Side of broiled asparagus (I like my asparagus crunchy).

I’m so used to eating a shit ton of carbs that I don’t even think I could do that low carb shit anymore. I’m at like 500g of carbs at least 4 days per week right now… :\

Since all I eat is poptarts and donuts.
-10oz Tilapia
-1 Steambag broccoli
-1lb mashed potatoes
-multi
-fresca in a pint glass lol.

I thought it was poptarts and whey… But really, about time to let it go.

Is there a back story to these comments I am unaware of?
